It wasn't meant to degrade the quality of the players, just to show that he has helluva competition for the DM/CM spot in his NT :D

Tbh, I rate Nianggolan very highly. I believe he surely can compete for the spots if not win it.

--------------- Nianggolan ------------------
--- Witsel ------------------- De Bruyne ----

:fap:

Nianggolan would provide the defensive work, which could come very handy against attackting team like Croatia, Germany, England, Portugal, (thinking forward now for WC ;) ) Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, ...

I don't say Spain because they're way ahead. Perhaps Germany is way ahead as well.

Yo Kevin, do you rate Nainggolan over Dembele or Felliani? I know, different type of players, but if I had to pick, I would pick Dembele over Nainggolan for Inter any day of the week.

Dembele is a fucking beast! I think Belgium are set for years with Witsel & Dembele in the midfield, alongside one of De Bruyne, Defour, or Felliani.

Dembélé's a beast, but imo he dribbles too much with the ball. Besides our NT needs a defensive midfielder who can recover the ball. And Witsel and De Bruyne simply are much better then Dembélé in current form.

Fellaini is a very good DM than given credit for IMO. He played whole season as a #10 so maybe people forgot how well he played as DM.

I think Dembele plays higher up the pitch for Belgium isn't it? Witsel and Fellaini as CM and Dembele, Mertens, Hazard as attacking 3.

Hopefully Mirallas gets chance for Belgium, one of the best winger in the league. Oh forgot about De Bruyne, now the manager has a very good problem of choosing between Fellaini, Dembele, De Bruyne, Nainggolan, Witsel and even Defour.

Thing about Fellaini is, he wants to play higher in midfield. He has all the skills to become one of the best DM there are. (Physique, heading, power, passing, technique, interceptions, aggression,...) but he himself rather plays AM. And it's been a while he played DM.

Nianggolan would make De Bruyne/Witsel play better since they would focus on their attacking duties.

But yes, fine choices we have in the team.

Hopefully also in Inter one day :foreveralone:

And all players are versatile as well. Whoever is our coach can choose from 5 types of players, all young and great. Formation, tactics wise, very versatile. Depending the opponent, those players will play.

Are you sure? Because in every interview he said he likes to play deep and he had to play upfront as Everton lacked players there. He even said Moyes saw his future in deeper role.

Yeah last 18 months he played most games as Striker/AM and very games as DM, but that was more to do with Everton lacking players.

Fellaini said:
If I'm leaving Everton, I say if, it will depend on lots of factors," Fellaini told the Sunday Mirror.

"I only want to go to a club where the manager really wants me.

"In 2008, Everton did everything to convince me, especially David Moyes. He made me the player I am now."

Fellaini also revealed that Moyes had told him that he wanted him to become a deep-lying midfielder - rather than the forward he has emerged as in recent years.

"I'm happy with my season, although I didn't play in my best position," said Fellaini.

"I'm not a number 10. David Moyes predicts my future as a defensive midfielder, but due to a lack of offensive power, he plays me up front.

"In the future I want to play as a six or an eight. From there, I can create danger and score goal

He has too much offensive ideas. But as offensive 6, Witsel is much better

He was very good as DM though. IMO Fellaini and Witsel is much better combination. A double pivot on which you can build your team on. Sort of Bayern look, with 2 very good CMs who are very good defensively with tricky wingers and a lone striker.

De Bruyne can also play as AM isn't it? Or even a midfield trio of De Bruyne Witsel with Fellaini sitting infront of defense is superb team, with Hazard and Mirallas/Mertens playing on wings and Lukaku/Benteke as striker.

Dembele will be missed out

Vertonghen: "Only Germany and Spain are better then us"

Damn right son. If you consider that most of the players are 25 or younger, then :slick:

Never mind what he said, i do agree with him. Well, they arent NOW at top3, but those players have potential to be - maybe even become the best.

Man, just see the depth they have as a team. They have AT LEAST two players, two quality players in every position. Young too, players that are yet to show their best.

Mark my words, in 3 years, Belgium will have one of top3 teams in the world.

Well it all depends on how certain players take the next step and become better players. And also a lot on Kompany. As long he can play Loads of matches we will be ok.

Tonight a decisive match against Serbia. While Croatia will face an easy team though.
