He defended like Ansaldi for the first goal. It was as if he rolled a red carpet for pulisic to the heart of penalty box instead of challenging him or at least diverting him outside. Not sure if the performance drop of him and Lautaro has something to do with the congested schedule. Whatever the excuse is, Bisseck is already breathing on Pavard's neck for the starting spot.

Something I’ve seen Gaurdiola do is essentially make players “disappear” for a few months. All of a sudden you won’t see a Foden, Grealish, Stones, De Bruyne, etc. used heavily for a while then boom they’re back in the lineup and in form again.

It’s easier to do when you have money and your back ups are equally as strong as your starters. However, it’s obviously something that’s worked as I believe Pep is the best manager in Europe at managing his rotation.

It seems like what Pavard needs right now is one of those time outs. The issue is we aren’t City. Even with Bisseck, we need him.
