But he did stand out, in about 10 games last season at least, maybe even more.

Till Atletico game people were full of praises for Pavard and calling him world class. Let's not act he was always subpar at Inter.

I remember people here also dismissing the quality of Thiago Motta, Perišić and Icardi when they left the club. It's silly. No player is perfect, but we need to be fair to our (ex) players.

Skriniar was the one player to lose out with the switch to 352 under Conte. He's an out-and-out stopper who was a natural for the central CB role, unfortunately De Vrij was also that sort of player and Conte reasoned, probably correctly, that Skriniar could adapt a little better to the right side than the Dutchman.

Pretty much that, it wasn't the best position for him.

I think some FIF posters wouldn't hate Skriniar so much if we actually got some money from PSG for his transfer. It's hard losing a captain like that.

The money aint the issue the way he left is.. Lying to the fans and mgm like the piece of shit he is.....
He did everything in his power so that he d get that free transfer and that big sign on bonus from PSG all while promising the fans that he wanted nothing but inter and loved this club dearly.

He's getting his medicine at PSG. Luis Enrique clearly doesnt rate him!

I dont know if it's just me or the fact the Leipzig winger is blazing quick, but for being a RB most of his career he's really slow lol.

More of a RCB, just like he himself said. He knows he might not be the fastest to play on the wing

We're so spoiled by Bastoni and I keep hoping to see more from him. Meh.

He always had fast wingers in front of him so he didn't have to do much in attack and cover a lot of space. Just keep his position and make an occasional run as a support to overlap. Bayern always had fast and attacking fullbacks on the left (first Alaba, then Alphonso Davies) so Pavard was the one to stay behind as a hybrid 3rd cb. So his lack of speed wasn't much of an issue.

Don't have one.

I still think he has done a decent job so far. Yeah, bastoni on the other side definitely put an incredible benchmark but if we somehow got rid of him and replaced with someone else, high probability less experienced, we would only than realize what he brought to the table, mainly in terms of defending and positioning which are still one of the best in our whole team imo. He makes mistakes, but so does everyone, that's the type of high risk and progressive football we are playing.

The only thing kinda disappointing is his contribution in attack, but I can't really put too much blame there given that he is a defender and players like bastoni are complete unicorns.

Darmian was much better than him in this position.

For the amount that was invested in him and considering his experience, decent wont cut it. He really needs to up his level. He went from consistently reliable to consistently shaky.

Our three expensive signings (20m euros +) since austerity started have been Correa, Pavard and Frattesi and all three have underwhelmed at best.

He's still a good player and a very viable starter but he has the same issues Skriniar had. Awesome when he can get an attacker in front of him but he struggles vs dribblers w pace. I remember Leao absolutely destroying Skriniar over and over again. I think its good we have Bisseck as his back up because hes got the opposite traits. Not as great 1v1 but more recovery pace and agility. I like having the rotation between the two at RCB.
