Well, while it's true that he played a lot minutes for us last season, he has already missed more minutes for us than he did for the whole of last season and for now, we don't know when he'll return. He is one of the rare bigger assets that we could actually get good money for without destroying the balance of our team.

When Acerbi and/or De Vrij leave, it will free up wages, but if Pavard also leaves this summer, we could invest that money in a CB we need more. Darmian&Bisseck could be enough for RCB, it's that hole in the middle of defence that worries me.

I'm not saying we MUST do it, just that it's time to ask yourselves who else we can sacrifice too. Pavard rather than Thuram in my opinion is one option. Some would go for Thuram. Some maybe for Lautaro. We'll get less for Pavard than for these two, but we won't need to overspend on attackers if Lautaro and Thuram stay, so...

I don't see Pavard leaving anywhere. He fits right in and it's hard to see this management to push out anyone who's enjoying himself at this Inter.

Bisseck as starter, no matter how impressive he's been lately, it's a no from me. He still doesn't have the credentials for it IMO. For once we have a great rotation situation in one position, let's not ruin it.

Bisseck has to be the starter until/ if Pavard wins the spot back. Bisseck has been bringing a ton to our game in Pavard’s absence— it would be foolish to just sit him down out of the blue when he’s actively contributing to our generally dominant play style. Especially when Pavard wasn’t exactly in redhot form before he got injured.

I absolutely don’t want Pavard sold though. Having Bisseck and Pavard is a good problem to have at the end of the day. We got really lucky with our bet on Bisseck AND Pavard was one of our best performers last season. Good stuff all around. Pavard still brings experience and class— we will need that with Acerbi and Darmian leaving soon enough. You can’t just get a bunch of talented lads and expect them to fill the void left by proven veterans.

Frattesi is the most sensible candidate for a sale. I like him a lot, but we’ve seen enough to know he’s never going to thrive in this setup. I think the management and inter fans feel that way too for the most part. It’s unfortunate, but ultimately the right thing to do for everyone. Frattesi is saying all the right things to the press, but you just know that deep down it’s a bummer for him to watch all his teammates play great football and he’s just there watching and clapping. Definitely won’t look forward to him scoring against us; I’ll tell you that much.

What do you guys recommend, how will Inter fund the money for another striker, another midfielder and and a CB? I'm just wondering out loud. Oh, also we might need another wingback

Can we do something where we don't have to sell Thuram and still successfully get enough quality players to fill up the squad?

First we need to see our budget for this summer to make any sort of conclusions coz according to gazetta we will finally have one. Your line of thinking is more reminiscent of how we operated under zhang. Maybe we will only sell players to make room for upgrades, and not necessarily to have any sort of budget like in the past.

It really depends who will ask to leave after the season. Frattesi seems the most prominent one, but I won't be surprised if Thuram or even Lautaro decide to seek a new challenge.
Dimarco, Hakan, Barella and Bastoni will stay 100% unless they are not forced out for some reason.
We may cash on Dumfries despite the new contract. If he keeps playing like this, maybe some EPL team will go after him.
Asllani also could be sold if a decent offer arrives, even though his departure make no sense, as his salary is low and he does not complain for now.

Selling Pavard
If he gets injured again and out for another month or two, we'll have to start thinking about it.

What?

🚨🚨 Real Madrid is interested in Benjamin Pavard, and Inter will sell the player if a significant offer arrives.

We're owned by a hedge fund. We'll sell anyone if a significant offer arrives.
Yeah, especially guys like Pavard and Hakan I’m afraid. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both leave coming summer. Offcourse only when the right offer arives. ‘Business wise’ it’s the right think to do. Getting onlder, represent Some good value atm and in 2 years that will be mostly gone. Sell them for two younger guys, who can be sold for even more in a couple of years.

Sporting wise, we know, it ofteb doesn’t work just like that.
