Tbh the squad we have built in the last 2 seasons is the result of the Marotta-Conte combination. It wasn't just the influence of one person. Prior to Conte's hiring we were linked with much different players. Danilo, De Paul, Bergwijn. Chiesa. Especially for De Paul there were rumours Inter already had a deal for him but Conte stopped everything. Hiring Conte forced the management to build a squad for 3-5-2. The decisions would be much different if we hired a back 4 coach or even if we decided to stick with Spalletti. Barella would have certainly arrived but all the others are up to anyone guess.

Marotta's biggest influence at Inter was Conte's hiring. That's what set most of our moves in transfer market in motion. Conte would have never joined Inter without Marotta and the management wouldn't have gone for many of our current players without Conte. If Marotta had stayed at Juve, Allegri would have probably stayed. Allegri lost his biggest ally inside Juventus when Marotta was fired. As for the current Inter players Juventus could have signed, i can only think of Eriksen, Sanchez and Darmian. Agnelli wouldn't accept a Conte's return so we can rule out players like Lukaku and Vidal. Allegri wasn't very fond of Cancelo so i don't think he would like Hakimi either. Barella was rejecting everyone for Inter so we can rule him out. Players like Lazaro, Young and Moses were never linked with Juve so i doubt they would have gone for them.

Anyway, reality is written with facts. Conte and Marotta came to Inter, they built the squad that is on the verge of winning Scudetto and the rest is history.

And Marotta bring some order in the club. And when the coach as the full backing of the CEO it's easier to impose all the rules and restrictions to the squad. Our team is now very professional and also united. It's the combination of Marotta and Conte effect really. Very high expectation levels how players should act in trainings, matches, publicly. Oriali also has a big role in all this, we can't forget his presence and effect of that.

It's safe to say he's been vindicated regarding CR. No sporting benefit in signing him. You want someone able to see what others didn't.

And he's been vindicated regarding Icardi. Not rejoicing what's happened with Maro, love the guy, but it is what it is.

Loved is definitely more accurate, but mainly because I forgot he existed. I tend to be more forgiving regarding young millionaires, especially from poorer backgrounds, however misguided that might be. The fact Inter came out as total winners from the clash with the Icardis helped, but also, apart from De Vrij, as Harpsabu said, and Handa, Icardi was an awesome transfer and he in particular made banter Inter bearable. Barely. In the end we got the goals, we got the money.

I really liked him when he was here and didn't care about his personal life. After the situation he caused in his working life its hard not to judge that fucker and this is my feelings without thinking about his extraordinary agent.

Honestly at this point I'd even lose one our legendary defenders before losing this guy.

Holy Trinity Inter : Marotta , Conte , Pintus

For me they are the best in the world in their job.

Credits to Stelini (Conte assistant) and Oriali (team manager) too.

Pintus - barely anyone talk about this guy, but he was extremely important. Our physical condition is exceptional. They run like Forrest Gump and more importantly, we didn't have any major injury from our senatoras (ok, Sensi, but he is the exception who confirm the rule).
Kudos to Pintus.

And Marotta... needless to say, hemust be retain with any price. Hopefully for many years.

Don't have one.
Our whole momentum changed the moment he set foot at appiano gentile. Dude is an absolute beast at what he does and for me a crucial man in all of our new-found success. If suning and zhang are staying they should do whatever it takes to keep him here as long as possible.

Yep, since he left r. madrid they had big problems with injuries, muscle type injuries. Can't help but think it's not a coincidence.

Marotta to Sky: "There is a dream for next year. It would be truly extraordinary to win the Scudetto next year because it would bring the second star to Inter."

Marotta said he want to win Scudetto next year as well, so Inter can get that second star. From all i heard of him, he's not leaving anywhere. Conte on the other hand is saying how they will evaluate everything at the end of the year. So pretty much same stuff as he was saying last year.

And one more thing. Everybody who is now shitting on the guy, don't come here praising him in a few years when this team is transformed completely, becomes a lot more professional, and where we actually start competing against teams for silveware once again. It's the same story over and over again. If a guy is bought who was praised a lot and fails, then the critics are nowhere to be found.

Marotta is doing fanstatic job, as is our management overal. Getting back Oriali, hiring great fitness guy, getting Marotta one of the most if not most hailed general manager in recent 10 years, getting Conte who is amazing coach. The only thing that is left is getting the stadium and buying better quality players.

And yet... people focus on individuals. Marotta layed it down briliantly for you, the teams win silveware, not individual players. You can cry what is happening, but you will soon find out why it was done. I already was getting through it with Mourinho. I remember a big portion of the fans in this forum was against him, and I was one of the biggest supporters of him here because I knew what it meant that he is coming (professionalism and fighting against italian media at the time that was shitting over us over and over again). We all know what was the end result of it?

I didn't have that feeling ever since then, but now I'm getting it again. The good times are coming, and the story will be repeated. Those critizing Marotta, just like those criticizing hiring Mourinho (for a lot of money which was one of the things against getting him) will be nowhere to be found once we start winning again.
I'm very proud now, not out of vanity that this above came true, but because me being right here meant that Inter is getting to it's rightful place and that's the only thing that matters. Not being right, but Inter to go back to the top again :proud::proud::proud:

Like I've mentioned 2 years ago, I already saw what was happening, and had the same feeling when we hired Jose. I knew the good times will come. It was not a question if, it was question when. Very happy it only took 2 years.

The guy is a master and he deserves every praise he gets and will get for (I hope) long future as what is happening now is the effect of this guy. He took the team who was called "Pazza" for a reason, where the biggest story of the day was not whether Inter has a serious title challenge, but what a wife of our captain will say in the news. That was a normal day at Inter at the time, believe it or not. We were complete amateur team comparing to what we are now, and it was completely transformed by this guy. It took time and it got rought in the beginning but when things got sorted, the benefits started to surfuce. it can only get better. Marotta was the guy who started the long reign of jube in Serie A and it only depends on us (mostly Suning) whether the story will repeat itself.

I want to just say thank you Don Beppe, and congratulate to those few fans here since he arrived, who kept their cool and kept thinking rational and be positive despite all the drama we had over past 2 years.

Marotta: "We hope that this is the beginning of a new cycle. I want to put on the Inter shirt the second star next year."

"I have a trusting relationship with ownership. I feel very good here at Inter & want to continue this path. Inter are one of the most important clubs in the world with rich history & it is right to continue enriching it. And the path ahead with Conte is a winning one."
