Where do you come up with "Correa is Inzaghi request"?
When did he request this player exactly?

Correa was the Nerazzurri’s final signing of last summer transfer window, with the coach recommending him from Lazio following the club ending their pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram due to injury.

Depends on what you mean by free. One could argue that 'free transfers' are not free, because club pays agent fees and player signing-on bonus 😊

Practically speaking, he did not cost the club in terms of transfer fee. He is Inter academy product and DiMarco was actually used to balance the books.

Technically speaking, Inter payed a transfer fee to buy him back:
Inter raised him and sold him to FC Sion for €3.91M in 2017. Inter bought him back for €5M in 2018. Since then he was only on loan to Parma and Hellas.
Yeah, there was net cash flow to another club to sign him

It is not just the coach that has to be judged, but the club too. When we dropped points against the inferior teams, with all due respect, that means something didn’t work and it’s not right to pin all the blame on the coach. Inzaghi is doing well, he recovered from that moment of negativity.
“It was right for us to put pressure on him at the time, because we are Inter and must always do our best.”

Nice to hear this.

I know, I've copied it from you, you bozo. Don't you see it's bolded in the same places?

I've just wanted to emphasize how good it is to hear some owning up from our management. Even tho we are on the cusp of a CL final, we still know how much we fucked this season.

then you also saw that I`ve already emphasized that.

why bother posting the exact same quote and reaction/comment? how is that constructive for FIF?

A lot of questionable decisions over the last seasons but this guy is holding the rabbit foot. Third Champions League final for him. Maybe this time he manages to win it.

Credits to this guy who manage to assemble UCL finalist team from rejects and cheap materials under a severe financial storm. However, if you can sign correct free and old players, can you do the same but for young and prospective players next time?

I feel like he's going to delete his CV and just show our starting line up if he ever wants to apply for a job again

Marotta talks Lukaku future and Inter interest in Scalvini and Frattesi
The Nerazzurri have disappointed in Serie A this season, picking up 12 losses in 36 league outings, but have impressed in cup competitions, reaching the finals of the Coppa Italia and the Champions League. Simone Inzaghi also guided the team to a Supercoppa Italiana victory over rivals Milan.

Inter are gearing up for an important summer transfer window, hoping the reinforcements will help Inzaghi’s side close the gap at the top of the Serie A table.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Rai, Marotta first looked back at the season and reflected on Inzaghi’s work at Inter.
“You can’t evaluate a season simply from one match. On the contrary, the fact of reaching the Champions League final is a reason of great prestige and value, also for the coach and therefore also for Inzaghi, who richly deserves it. The assessment we made as a result is extremely positive.

“There was a time when things were not going well and so it is clear that the debate within the club was stronger and more direct, but always within the framework of proactive criticism.
“Inzaghi has shown that he is not only equal to his role, but that he knows how to put the season back on a very positive path. His work is positive and is recognised by everyone within the club.”

He was asked about the Nerazzurri’s interest in Scalvini and Frattesi.
“They are two very, very interesting youngsters, but there are others. Italian football is an expression of truly pure talent. They are two elements followed by many clubs, I won’t hide the fact that even Inter have our eyes on them.
“Then you have to reconcile this vision with a negotiation that has to be carried out, right now we are at a standstill. We must pursue the road of enhancing the Italian product, it is obligatory. Italian football can express great values in terms of players, coaches, referees, and managers.

“Of course, the most important investments are in training centres, it goes without saying that the relationship between the Federation and individual clubs, which is already excellent, must be even stronger.
“The talents in Italy are there and they are talents that can compete with their peers all over Europe.”

He provided an update on the future of Chelsea loanee Lukaku, who has finally started to find his form.
“Romelu loves the shirt he wears, he is very comfortable at Inter. These are fundamental aspects, this desire of his to be with us. But he is on loan until June 30. He will return to Chelsea, and we don’t know what will happen on a technical level at that club. At the moment we are at the window.”

Finally, Marotta gave his thoughts on the reports that Luciano Spalletti will leave Napoli at the end of the season.
“I hope for the good of football that he and De Laurentiis continue to work together, they are two added values of our football. The fact that they are separating generates some bitterness. Then I don’t know things, it’s right to respect any evaluation that the two decide to implement.
“They have done a great feat, we must give them the great merit of having brought the Scudetto back to Naples, the result of planning, great competence and great professionalism.”
More italians to be signed. Scalvini makes sense.

Scalvini and Frattesi to replace Skriniar and Gagliardini are good moves.

Problem is what we do in attack.
Retaining Dzeko and Lukaku doesn't sound like a great plan.
Not doing everything in our power to send Correa away is not a good plan.

Marotta on Juventus’ 10-point deduction, Inzaghi, Haaland, Man City and Lukaku
Beppe Marotta hints at Simone Inzaghi’s stay and is confident Inter defenders know how to deal with Erling Haaland but refuses to comment on Juventus‘ point penalty.

The Nerazzurri director spoke to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia during a ‘Charity Gala Dinner’ in Rome, organised two days ahead of a Coppa Italia Final between Inter and Fiorentina.

The first question obviously concerned Juventus’ 10-point penalty, which had been confirmed only a few minutes earlier.
“I don’t want to get into the merit, I think it’s correct because I don’t know the legal contents, so it’s fair to remain quiet,” Marotta told Sky.
“Surely, I think everyone agrees we need a reform of sporting justice.”

Inter have reached two Finals this season and have already won the Supercoppa, but have never been credible title contenders for the Scudetto.
“The players and the coach are the main protagonists and being in Rome [for the Coppa Italia Final] is very important. It’s a trophy that matters much, like the one in Istanbul,” argued Marotta.

When asked why Manchester City are the only club in Europe that can aim for the treble this term, the 66-year-old replied: “I think it’s linked to a psychophysical situation, for players, it’s difficult to remain focused with such a packed fixture list. The World Cup was a problem. The stress is not the same as in the past and some players may have been distracted. It’s a strange situation. We’ve played 57 games [this season] and it’s incredible.”

So, how to stop Erling Haaland?
“He is a very strong player, but the same goes for our defenders, I am confident,” said Marotta.

Coach Simone Inzaghi has been under fire for several weeks this term, but has eventually led the Nerazzurri to their first Champions League Final in more than a decade: “He has overtaken a difficult moment, but it’s part of a coach’s duty. It’s a role exposed to criticism, but he managed to climb back. He has guided the team to two or three important appointments with great pride, because we also need to finish well in Serie A.
“There are difficult moments during the season, but he’s never lacked confidence from the club, the team has recovered and a lot of the credit goes to the coach,” Marotta added in a second interview with Sportitalia.
“The season has been extremely positive so far with a black dot on Serie A’s white page, where we surrounded too early. The extraordinary Champions League and Coppa Italia Finals reconcile us with the history of this glorious club.”

The director was lastly asked about Inter’s transfer strategies for the summer: “There are no untouchables. Lukaku? We know he belongs to Chelsea, we’ll see.”
Everybody is available on the transfer market, just bid and Inter will consider it.

Boehly can bring those 300m funds easier by buying whole Inter itself.

Beppe Marotta discussed how the club are working to be economically sustainable and looked ahead to the Champions League final
The Nerazzurri have already booked their spot in next season’s Champions League campaign by securing a top four finish, and now Simone Inzaghi’s side are preparing for the club’s biggest game in over a decade.

Inter have already lifted the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia this season, and one match separates Inzaghi and his players from writing themselves into the club’s history books, although they’ll have to overcome the odds against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Speaking to Varese7Press, Marotta was first asked how to run a club like Inter sustainably.
“There must be two objectives: on the one hand the valorisation of material resources, that is, the commercial area, matchdays and all sources of revenue such as sponsorship.
“On the other, the valorisation of human resources, a fundamental asset that should represent a healthy competitiveness within which there is competence, experience and professionalism.”

He touched on the importance of investing in the youth system.
Fundamental, at the level of training talent we need to move on from that which is an investment and not a cost.

Finally, Marotta looked ahead to the Champions League final against Manchester City.
“For us it is a source of great pride. We present ourselves with great merit, knowing that we are facing a favourite and highly respected opponent. But our awareness is to play it to the end with a great sense of belonging to this shirt and these colours.”
Can`t wait to see improvements on the youth system.
