Walter Samuel,
Been lots of good, albeit short-lived ones.
Here's a few that i remember:
Ronaldo - Zamorano
Ronaldo - Vieri
Baggio - Vieri
Recoba - Vieri
Crespo - Vieri
Adriano - Vieri
Recoba - Adriano
Adriano - Martins
Ibra - Adriano
Ibra - Crespo
Ibra - Cruz
and now
Milito - Eto'o

Ronaldo - Vieri was the best on paper. They were arguably the 2 best strikers in the world when we had them, and i still remember the way they ripped Verona apart on the opening day of the 99/00 season. They didn't play that much together though.

Ibra - Adriano was a similar case to this - on paper it looked awesome but it never materialised.

I liked Vieri - Crespo alot. Two number 9s, but they linked up really well when they did play together. That goal against Ajax was amazing.

Baggio - Vieri also good, i remember them playing brilliant against Roma i think.

Vieri - Recoba also worked quite nicely in 01/02.

Anyway, i'm interested to hear what others think.

On paper it was no doubt Ronaldo and Vieiri but trophies wise I think it's Ibrahimovic - Cruz (or Crespo).

Crespo-Vieri was our most prolific in recent times. They top scored in UCL and Serie A.

Each of them had very good moments.

But,Milito - Eto'o...huh..:joker: They rock!

Statistically I think the best would be Ibra - Cruz who scored a shit load together but I may be wrong.

Can't tell tbh :p

Ronaldo-Vieri, Vieri-Recoba...and the other you mentioned perhaps have been better. To get a better picture we have to see the state of the rest of the team during the partnership, but still...you can't tell.

Crespo Vieri lasted for only one season, and Crespo was injured quite a bit that season. It was Bobbo scoring goals for us in the league, and Crespo in the CL.

The best is by far Bobbo-Ronnie, but they didnt play that many games with each other. The only other one that comes close to that in terms of potential, was Ibra-Adriano, and was giving me orgasms early in to last season, too bad Adriano is such an idiot.

Man, you look at the class of strikers we have, and then you look at the midfielders we had, with the likes of Emre and a 36 year old Figo making it to our team of the decade, thats just sad.

This is spot on for me...

When they played together, Ronaldo & Vieri were just a class of their own. I vividly remember the Brescia - Inter match in 01/02, when I just go :proud: after the match. Not to mention that in WC 2002, the duo scored TWELVE goals between them, something I think a club striker duo hardly ever manage to do. Too bad tons of injuries and a big backstab prevent the dream duo from producing anything more...

But overall-ly (Quality * Quantity, not just promise or potential), the answer is simple & obvious, Ibrahimovic & Cruz were definitely the best by far.

Shahz, please read my post/article in the Games & Tactics forum regarding Inter's tradition. ;)

Recoba was a great supplier but he was always unfit. I've been upset for a decade and will continue to be upset for the rest of my life that he never fulfilled the potential he was blessed with.

I was also annoyed he was never utilised effectively, in the hole behind the 2 strikers.

--Vieri---Martins--
------Recoba------

As for the bolded part, I'd probably agree. Crespo - Ibra was really productive in the 06/07 season, they scored 30 league goals between them. Then again so did Ibra-Cruz in the season after.

From the ones that I've seen, Adriano/Vieri and Ibrahimovic/Cruz

Ronaldo and Vieri hardly ever played together, but they were probably the best when they did. I would give my vote to Vieri-Crespo

Poll added, and I've included Ibrahimovic - Balotelli in the list since they were the main striker partnership in the last 10-15 matches last season, and they did very well too.

Technically, Ronaldo-Vieiri or Recoba-Vieiri/Crespo would be the best ones. A perfect target man supported by a creative striker.
