Not working today so really was looking forward to this. Shame but if the local authorities forbid you to play you won't. We all know this game will be played at a later date.

I don't think it's right. Everyone with 14 available players should be able to play, quarantine only those that are positive. Was someone transparent enough to announce how many cases they have on their team?

the risk is in the people who are infected but dont already test positive, since it can take a few days from point of infection to test positive as i understand it.

That's where the real spreading happens. You're infectious but dont show. Thats why contacts of positive people need to be isolated, which means 1 positive person in a squad can result in the whole squad being isolated

We will turn up and put on the whole song and dance routine, like juve did, pretending like we expected to play a game but realistically expecting a 3-0 victory by forfeit.

In a shocking twist, a 13 man Bologna squad will indeed show up for the game, dramatically late, just as the ref is about to call it. Our players will be unable to switch on their focus, having mentally relaxed, and we will lose 3-0.

Is this postponed on not? Club's ig page has posted the game like an hour ago. I'm confused...

Inter will come out to play the game. Its up to Bologna to show up. If they wont we will get a 3-0 win... but after Bologna cries to the italian federation the game will be replayed, just like Juve - Napoli last year.

I would just change the protocol all over the Europe. If player is positive, he doesn't play but if no symptoms, quarantine is short. And the rest of the team just plays.

If we don't play for the fear of getting many players infected and thus unabling them to play later, what's the fucking point? No one's playing ever.

Like why the fuck ASL in this case prevents Bologna from playing? They still have those 13 players who can play. Serie A and ASLs need to start cooperating yesterday.

We are getting punished for another team being infected.

I dont really see it as us being punished, tbh.

I think protocols will change with Omicron, but we just need to be sensitive still to the fact that a global pandemic is raging. I think its perfectly reasonable and ethical for Bologna to have to delay this match, the idea of playing a football game when half of your players are out with COVID and you have to play the Primavera feels a bit ridiculous to me, when rescheduling would be easier.

My concern would be with the world cup - will it get delayed for the sake of giving more breathing room on some of these matches maybe. I doubt it, but if Italy and the Premiership etc start having to reschedule more than a couple of weeks of games, the fixture list gets very busy very quick

Just waiting for a game, where Inter won't show up and the 3-0 result will stand.

Rescheduling is not easy as there are apparently very few free dates available anymore. We would have to extend the season which is fucking ridiculous. And there is the Italy-Argentina match on 1st of June agreed with UEFA and CONMEBOL. Do you think they will budge with that date?

Plot twist: our team already left city Bologna, and then some random players from Bologna primavera shows up on stadium and win goes to Bologna 3 - 0.

yeah i hear you, just dunno how else it can happen really. The right thing to do is delay the match, morally/ethically/etc. How to implement the delay is up to the league.

Yeah that's ridiculous why the rules are different in different regions. Health authorities should be in direct conversation with the league and agree one protocol to be used in every case.

Now league has this 13 players available protocol but then health authorities can just quarantine the whole squad suddenly.
