To be honest, the international break has left me feeling anxious. I have been waking up most mornings to see if there are any reports of injuries to our players, either during training sessions or games. I have also been worried about further positive covid tests for our players. But perhaps worst of all has been the silence from our owners. And for some reason, all I can think about is having Suning as owners and the Chinese not being able to invest in and improve our squad for next season.
The Scudetto is yet to be won but the club's financial predicament makes me think that if Suning remain as owners, we could well disappear into oblivion for another ten years, just like we did after winning the treble. Our treble win was a blip on the radar before Inter as a club simply disappeared into obscurity. Right now, the uncertainty is killing me: not knowing if Hakimi will be here, whether we will attempt to cash in on our players, not to mention who will be coaching next season if Conte elects to leave due to a lack of investment.
It is no coincidence that the rumours have started about Lukaku's and Conte's future at the club or whether Hakimi will be with us next season: all designed to distract, sidetrack and derail our efforts.
In relation to the game against Bologna. I want us to fuck them good and proper as pay back for what they did to us last season.
