Typical Inter. Parma were missing their 1st and 2nd choice striker and had to play an ill-disciplined, unprofessional 3rd choice winger out of position who they would normally avoid playing at all costs. Parma had just 6, SIX players on the bench, and of course, we were playing at home, with the chance to take first place. Personally, I'd just like to say.. you're welcome for the match thread. I don't know if that was 2 points dropped or 1 point gained, but I think I did a fantastic job to secure a point.
I'm not part of either the pro or anti-Conte squads here. I have my own views on him as a coach and I try to make judgments from a day-to-day basis while considering the long-term big picture and his history. I did not like Conte's words since the draw, at all. I don't expect him to be pleased after that result, but his groaning and negativity was not helpful. I think him stating that he's "worried" due to injuries, a lack of squad depth, and an inability to rotate, sends the wrong message.
Even if they have Tonali, who is the best midfielder on the planet if FIF is to believed, and that fucking impudent little prick Balotelli, who gets a +10 boost to form due to the former player/coach curse, I'm not fazed by facing this Brescia team. That said, the borderline 'dread' among many fans is almost palpable.
I want to think we've matured beyond the random blackouts and capitulations that lead to 9 game winless streaks. I think some of the fear here is ridiculous, but I get the concerns. I say a 1-2 win for us with goals from Lukaku and Lautaro.
Did they not have a pre-match press conference for this one?
