I am all for the buy back option and it would be preferable for him to play in Italy. Having said that, if the option was between Sassuolo and Nice and he would get more playing time in France as opposed to sitting on the bench in Italy, then going to France would be the better option.

We really should not relinquish our claim to him as a player without testing and seeing what he has has to offer. Selling him would not be a prudent decision, regardless of how broke we are.

Issue is we don't have money to buy 35m€ top players.

I'd prefer lower option to buy and much lower buyback. There's like literally no fucking sense to set the buyback that high because we indeed cannot use that buyback.

And tbh, we could use lower valued midfielder too. If Casadei becomes like 20m€ valued midfielder in near term, it would be worth for us to buy him back (for that 20m€).

Then considering the loan + option structure, if the option to buy was higher, it would be more acceptable. Because now Nice would get one year to check is he worth the option for only 4m€ price. If he ends up being worth the option, we lose Casadei for 19m€. Okay money but if indeed the player is good, it's bad business for us long-term.

That's why selling him for 20m€ straight up to Chelsea now would make sense but this Nice deal would not is because don't know yet is Casadei worth that 19-20m€ very soon.
I live in hope that by the time we need to use the buyback clause suning is gone and we can sign €35 ,mil again. Wishful thinking but hope is all that is left.

I doubt such buyback clause would be active for years and I doubt Casadei will be worth 35m in 2 years etc.

I'd ship him to Italian club which is probably more friendly towards buyback clause inclusion.

Joke will be on us next summer when we can't even afford to pay the buyback fee.
You know exactly how this goes:

He has a monster season at Nice and we decide to exercise the buyback option for 35m which we can not afford.

After Marotta spends 3 months trying to re-negotiate the buyback option, Nice finally agree to sell him back to us at the improved price of 34m + 1m bonuses, which we still can not afford.

Suning take another month to approve the expenditure at which point our option expires and he joins juve for 20m. To add insult to injury we receive nothing due to our failure to insert a percentage of future sale clause.

The only world where we exercise a 35mil buyback is one where Casadei turns into prime Iniesta and we immediately turn around and sell him to Chelsea

Sassuolo might as well be the best place for Casadei. If we sell him to them, they are invested in his development. But knowing Carnevali, he's a tough negotiator (towards everyone except Juve) and I wouldn't be surprised he manages to negotiate the buyback to levels which doesn't make much sense for Inter. Let's hope for the best. I feel Nice could be the best bet for us.

At the end of the day, he should be taking Gagliardini's spot in the squad.

Taking that role wouldn't give him the space to eventually become a starter (hopefully) for us. He needs to play as many minutes as possible, the kid hasn't played any senior level football yet.

It'd save us some coin, at least.

Cesare Casadei is destined for Chelsea. According to Daniele Miceli of Sport Mediaset, a hot morning at Inter with Chelsea who are preparing to make a new relaunch. The Blues should satisfy the Nerazzurri's request for 15 million euros. After the sale of Andrea Pinamonti to Sassuolo, this would be a very important second exit for Inter. The famous roof of the 60s is about to approach.

According to a local betting agency, Casadei is paying $2.45 to score a goal today.

Make of that what you will.

Casadei himself apparently wants to Chelsea (as he'd get to their U23 squad) so it doesn't look good. Though I still think the main motivator in this move is we want to make money.
