The final is tomorrow and I want Monaco to win it. Hopefully it will be a better game than the UEFA final.

I hope Monaco win, i really respect their coach and the entire team and mostly Morientes whom i hope will show real who is the loser.

I just hope the game is better than last year's final which by far was the worse and most boring i have ever seen.

My prediction: Monaco 3 - Porto 2. Scoreres: Monaco (Morientes 2, Giuly) Porto (Derlei 2.)

For me, Monaco all the way. Real Madrid and Chelsea got knocked out of their bloody expensive senses and hit rock bottom after realising that teamwork and not money is the key to success.Same can be said of Porto. Deportivo and Man Utd out of the way, we are set to witness a non-luxury-club final. But Monaco play more entertaining football and for Rothen and Giuly's sake, a Champions League medal is all they deserved.
Ready, get set, go!Prepare for the battle...
My predictions:

MONACO 2
(Morientes 15', Giuly 88')
PORTO 1
(Deco 45')

Enjoy.... :dielaugh:

I think Porto is going to win this one. First, they are more experienced. Second, I think they are much more disciplined and organised. Third, I believe Mourinho is just a class above Deschamps. But I'll be a complete neutral in this game. It has been a long time since I will finally be able to watch the game without any nervousness. :)

So they better have a very entertaining match!!! :D

I agree with Han that Porto look to have a better chance to win it but i would like to see Monaco do it and Morientes carrying them.I hope its a really good game above all and i hope that some of u would join here in half time for some chit chat. ;)

3-0 to Porto who handled the match excellently untill now..Monaco however are a shadow of themselves could it be their experience??nervousness?? Whatever it is they cant have a decent chance on goal. :depress:

This was supposed to be a better game than the UEFA final, which I guess it was but not by much. What happened to Monaco? they were nowhere near to their best, maybe they choked, got too nervous, maybe Porto just shut them down. I dunno but I guess it is congrats to Porto.

Congrats Porto.

Monaco has nothing to be ashamed of as just making it this far was an accomlishment on its own.

FC Porto dominated the match more than Monaco choked. Good effort though by Monaco who made it this far. Though FC Porto were just outstanding!!! Incredible display :star:

The referee was, to say the least, a Porto fan. All decisions were swayed in Porto's favour and except for booking C.Alberto for taking his shirt off, i didn't see him doing anything to Porto. And I'd give you a reason for Monaco's loss: GIULY. After Giuly left, Prso looked lost and he doesnt have the creativity of Giuly which could unlock defences. I think Deschamps made a tactical error there as Nonda would have been a better option. :(

Good work by Mourinho though. That's the most disciplined performance by a team in the Champions League for ages. The second and third goals were classic counter attack and i'd have to say that Mourinho has assembled a great team with everyone suited to their best positions. And one final word. I can't stand the LINESMAN. I think out of 4 offsides called for Morientes, 3 were definitely valid and he was certainly onside and through on goal. And when Evra missed the whole net with the goalkeeper at his mercy late in the second half, you just know it's not your day... :cry2:

IMO, Porto totally deserved this victory. They were unbelievably organized. Monaco threw everything they had but it was repelled by the excellent Porto defence. The second goal is wonderful. A classic counter-attack movement. I kinda learn something from Arsenal this season and Porto's second goal. And that is, you don't need to use long balls to hit your opponent on the break!!! Cuper should learn this. ;)

Monaco were very poor yesterday though. I expect a lot more from Rothen. But perhaps, it was because of Giuly's injury and the whole team just depended on him and he simply can't shoulder them by himself.

I disagree. The referee didn't screw up on the major decisions. The only major one IMO was somewhen in the 60th minute where Morientes was ruled offside even though he was onside. But still, Morientes didn't score so it wouldn't have mattered. Perhaps he gave Porto a slight advantage on the 50-50 challenges but there weren't any major refereeing moment in the game, like a red card or goal disallowed, which affected the score of the match. Porto played much better and they were that was the dominant reason in their triumph.
