I wouldn't say that. If Adriano had taken one of his chances or Balotelli got luckier with his shots, we might be saying shit about the defence pairings right now.
But then again, we don't have many options for the defence right now.

Didn't like Medel at CB in the derby. He played CB the same way he plays as a DM and he was surprisingly easy to muscle off the ball. I think Ranocchia needs to play. He didn't play long in the derby but had some good moments and did his job well. With Andreolli gone, Vidic unregistered and Juan seemingly a full time LB now, we need a 'reliable' backup CB. Playing Medel out of position is not a viable lasting option IMO.

Murillo - Ranocchia looked really poor during preseason but then again so did everything else. I would prefer to see Ranocchia get a chance over Medel. I think Medel may have worked well for the derby, but that's a one off special game. On a go forward basis I would prefer to see Ranocchia when Miranda's out.

Considering the cost and how badly Mancini wanted him, there's a lot of pressure on Perisic to deliver. Mancini said that Perisic will not only change Inter, but Serie A too yao: whatever the fuck that means). I'm relatively convinced he'll do well, but considering mancini's bizarre and ridiculous, almost systematic, failure to use wingers properly, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Perisic have a frustrating season. Anyway I'm eager to see this rumored lineup against Chievo with Perisic and Ljajic supporting Icardi. That being said I won't bat a fucking eyelid if Mancini deploys Perisic in the hole again or as an SS, anything aside from the natural left wing forward he so offensively, obviously is.

Chievo are a team that shows how important continuity, pragmatism, and experience can be. have to be the oldest starting lineup in Serie A. Bizzarri (37), Dainelli (36), Meggiorini (31), Frey (31), Cesar (33), Izco (32), Gamberini (34) etc.. they've been vulnerable in the second half from what I've seen of them this year because their older legs get tired quickly but they caused a lot of trouble for lazio and juve.

If only Biabiany is fit...

That is because mancini is an idiot he gets players and plays them in positions they can play in but not where they are most comfortable and suitable in. Shaqiri behind striker wtf he is a winger yeah sure u can play him there but still that is not his primary position. Persic can play behind the strikers or as a second striker but he is a winger like shaqiri that is his only place. He can play in 4-3-3 but on the left wing of a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 also as a left winger. Did you notice we have zero pure playmakers in the team now , we sold kova and hernanes and got no one came. Jovetic is a shadow striker so our only bet is if we play with wingers sth Mr Mancini doesnt do.Mancini says guarin can play as a playmaker how do you get someone like that with zero vision and a very bad touch to play in such a delicate role. Italian coaches are dinosaurs they can't make their teams defend anymore and they dont know how to play fast attacking football. They can only play random shit or just ask the players to keep pumping the ball forward. When you look at mourinho inter we were counter attacking but so much organization the team positions. Miss the old good days when italian teams would atleast defend properly.
