And Real just signed Reinier from Flamengo for 35M for the summer. If they want eriksen, they are on the phone now working out details.

- - - Updated - - -

Eriksen is not even on any of those player's level. Period. Not/never has been (or will be) on ballack's or pirlo's level.

It's just fucking eriksen. Are you guys crazy?

We should have offered Gabi for Reinier I think we wasted a shot here.
But sign eriksen now man. The guy is class and different level from our other MF

I'm with browha on this one - if Eriksen wasn't with an expiring contract he'd never be sold for less than 120M... You guys (brehme) are forgetting the market these days. De Vrij would cost us probably around 40M, even Godin would command a fee of around 20M I reckon, purely based on his credentials. It's like if Pogba now left MU on a free. So yeah, easily the best Bosman type of deal to date, purely based on face value.

What do I have to do this?

I said Eriksen is not the biggest Bosman ever because he's not. The way the sentence was structured implies a matter of quality.

If you want to talk about the financial aspect, sure go ahead. But "you guys are forgetting" that you have to adjust everything related to cost to the evergrowing revenue streams of these clubs.

And if the Ballack one was current, it'd be an even bigger one as we're talking about a leading player of a Leverkusen that made the CL final (Eriksen has a similar run) who on top of that led a lackluster German NT that no one expected to go far to the WC final (should have been Spain or Italy from that path, but blame Korea and FIFA for that), then moved to play for Bayern Munich on a big transfer, which Eriksen never accomplished (equivalent would have been going to Man City in a transfer), won 3 leagues in 4 seasons. And then he makes this move. This player would be worth a lot more than Eriksen. This player today is probably Kevin De Bruyne actually without being a failed transfer somewhere.

Eriksen is a very good player that we'd love to have because he has characteristics that are valuable. Whether or not today's market is inflated doesn't mean shit.

We sold Ronaldo to Real Madrid for 46m euros + some first options on a couple of players (Santiago Solari, I think Cambiasso was also included and probably another 1-2 guys).
Are you telling me that I only have to account for whatever inflation there was in the economy to consider that this would have been a 300m transfer today?

Is Eriksen the best player, quality wise, ever to be available on a Bosman? I don't know and I don't care, but in the present, he would be the player that would take the largest pile of cash ever to acquire normally and this simultaneously makes him the best Bosman ever in history, money wise, and the best player right now and in recent years available on a Bosman, quality wise.

Bosmans have been around for like 25 years, so it's not something that old.

Also, I don't get why this even needs to be considered. Is it an implication that we're "stealing" a player that could have moved for 9 digits? Maybe. But it's a coulda shoulda situation. Nobody gives a shit because no one is going to pay this money for Eriksen. It's just theory.

Football financials are all about relativity, not absolute terms.

Lewandowski is probably the best, at least higher than Pogba/Eriksen/Ballack.

Haha the rumors that we don’t want him anyMore. Can management possibly be trying to get a discount after the rumor Tottenham want 25 not 20 :)

We just aren’t use to management not caving and doing exactly what the selling team want. Didn’t Dalberts transfer value like triple from what we originally were going to pay

Don't have one.
Marchetti on sky is saying that we don't feel optimistic about vidal so our alternative is eriksen and tottenham is open to sell him this january, what a clusterfuck :D

I think no one knows for sure what will happen between those two, not even our management. We just saw slight opening with both of those deals and given the shortage of quality players available, we are now desperately clinging on those two to see where we are going to get fucked the least.:D

I can enlighten our management if they don't know what's going to happen - absolutely nothing. We are getting neither of them.

Vidal will not come and the only alternative is Eriksen.

Said this somewhere before but my prediction is still:

1. Vidal -> Barca won't let him leave => 2. Eriksen -> Doesn't want to commit to Inter yet, waiting for other offers / not picking Inter => 3. De Paul -> signs at the end of the mercato
