A noted lawyer and financial analyst from Korea hilariously stated in 2017, "from my perspective, it seems like the only two clubs on the continent who are upholding FFP are Inter and Roma."

Teams like PSG and Man City have been caught red handed for FFP breaches and the massive extent of their corruption was completely exposed in those leaks. Yet both of them avoided any real punishment, and continue to win appeals (because the TAS is equally as corrupt and incompetent as UEFA).

Milan too have already cheated the system twice: the first time, they were rightfully booted from the EL but appealed the ban and were eventually allowed back in. The second time, they simply didn't feel like playing in the EL so they manipulated their punishment into becoming a favor, and they were allowed to sit out the EL and focus on the league. We'll see what happens to them at the end of the season but based on what we've seen so far, do you honestly expect Milan to get a strict settlement agreement like we did? :rollani:

Finally, don't forget that earlier this season, juve openly engaged in the most blatant financial-doping with Jeep's "gift" of €25m. :rollani:

What makes you think that juve will get a rude awakening in the summer? What gives you faith that UEFA/TAS will, for once, not be corrupted and actually do their job? juve are one of the most powerful clubs in football, and Agnelli already has the losers at UEFA sweating nervously over his ideas to form a European Super League. Not to mention they are historic kings of cheating anyway We keep seeing those reports about them being desperate for capital gains and shit. They face ramifications, because they're a publicly listed company, but from UEFA? I'll eat my hat if they get so much as a warning email from UEFA.

All the football financial analysts say Juve need big capital gains in the summer and the club seems to be aware of that. That was the reason Paratici desperately tried to sell Dybala and sold Cancelo and Spinazzola for inflated prices. Now it seems they're desperately trying to offload Can and Rabiot but they haven't received a serious offer for Can and the best offer they have about Rabiot is from Everton. They were even linked with a Rakitic-Bernardeschi swap deal last night, another way to make capital gains.

As I wrote earlier 20 mil is nothing for Juventus, because they paid 40 mil for faking kulusevski...:trollol: and who is kulusevski (he has good half season, probably among 5 best player of season so far but that not change anything, he is no one)... ffp is not problem for Juventus because few days before Juventus buy kulusevski so they could be also buy eriksen for 20 mil if they want hiim... and in every moment agnelli can sign new contract between his companies and Juventus (same as have done arabian sheiks) and continue trolling FFP...


But no one reliable journalist write that Juventus, Real or Barca, Bayern and so on want Eriksen, just Inter (in past probably all of that clubs wanted him)... so I strongly believe journalist, mostly because really small transfer fee which is pice cake for that financial magnats...

Mourinho did not lie and the roumors do not lie also. What happens usually (fairly logical) is that the clubs are first negotiation "unoficially" and then when the terms are agreed to the buying club sends official offer. What Mourinho just said is that we didn't come to terms yet, i.e. still negotiating.

The deal will happen. Also, you cannot make right decisions all the time. Even the best GM's made mistakes. But what distinguishes best GM's from the rest is not that they do right decisions ALL THE TIME, but MOST OF THE TIME. That is, their right vs wrong ratio is high. Remember Schick "fiasco"? Sabbatini said the risk/benefit of taking the guy is not worth that much and we said let Roma have him. I assume nobody is angry about it now?

Obviously I hope Eriksen will happen and am pretty sure it will in the end. It's just negotiating now, and that's what GM's do. Let the man work.

For sure dude, I’m aware of all that too. My question is, based on the evidence we’ve seen so far, of clubs breaching FFP and receiving slaps on the wrist, do you honestly think juve will receive any severe punishment from UEFA should they breach FFP this season?

Yeah it's the real big clubs who are basically out of the loop. They have the political power to oppose UEFA. Our Chinese fellas have none of that (so far).

Tbh I dont even think its political power as such. Its star power of the team. If you exclude Neymar or Aguero or KDB etc the draw of the CL materially impacts. These clubs are too big to be excluded. Like the banks were too big to fail.

That is just a part of it. The bigger part is the legal challenge. Man City for example have made their intent clear - they will take UEFA to highest court at ANY legal cost if they don't agree with the FFP sanctions. UEFA are hesitant to put FFP's legality to the highest level of scrutiny. It could fall like a pack of cards and that will end it completely, and that would end all the good that FFP has done for the financial health of clubs (and IMO it has had a largely positive effect). So UEFA walk a fine line, and the punishments are usually a compromise with clubs like City.

Its a hard truth of life. The law is never equal for everyone. The mega rich usually can get away as the legal system cannot fight their resources.

Inter so far have philosophically agreed with FFP, and tried to follow it. But if tomorrow Inter get a big penalty and the management gets pissed, Inter are capable of doing what City did.

how can it not make a difference? and i'm not talking about the financial side, as supporters we are allowed not to care about it. but having eriksen now means to add quality to our team. he could bring with his goals and assists those 4-6 points that would maybe make the difference in the title race.
