The reason why Conte wants more Vidals and less Eriksens is because his system is based on number of possessions. Not amount on possession that has been calculated for decades, but number. It's a matter of winning the ball back at all times if possible. It tears the opponent apart if they cannot successfully launch an attack and you keep battering them with chances, no matter if they are low quality ones.
Players like Vidal, Radja, Pogba, Milinkovic-Savic, Barella, Brozovic, Rakitic etc win the ball back and know what to do with it to move forward. Conte needs this.

He still wants Vidal of course.

You're basically describing every "modern" midfielder...

conte has said that eriksen can be used in many positions but he certainly won't use him as a forward.

Nope. Most of them have no clue of how to distribute the ball. They are passing it laterally or backwards, cannot run with the ball much or cannot defend.

Not all of them have all the necessary tools. Eriksen can work hard but he's not going to he someone who can recover the ball.

It is true that while Eriksen does run and cover a lot of ground, he almost never makes any tackles. If anything, Eriksen’s inclusion into the midfield trio puts even greater demand on us to acquire a Fabinho-type player, probably replacing Brozovic.

I have a couple spurs supporter mates
And they state there is a reason why Eriksen was hardly ever injured during his time at spurs.
He is not known for his tackling capabilities avoids any 50 -50 situations too.

I think Barella and brozo behind Eriksen will work well

I was just going to post this. Barella and Brozovic cover the entire pitch with their workrate so I think Eriksen would play great alongside those guys as he won't have to do much, unless Conte of course makes him change his game and makes him start pressing and offering more defensively. Would be great to see him link up with Sensi though when he's regained form and match fitness.

Sensi is struggling with injuries left and right. He should come off the bench for Eriksen. Also, what kind of fucking midfield would that be with little to no tacklers. Just give them an easy escalator from their defence to attack lol disaster waiting to happen.

Learned that 62% of Eriksen's set-pieces have failed to beat the first man.

That run and pass to Lautaro was something I haven't seen from our midfielders in a long time.

That would have been my favorite goal of the season had it stood.

And yet it was the most easy, fundamental play. Great players are able to make everything look so simple and it's been so goddamn long.

If it happens that he sucks here it's probably going to be because we were shit about it.

Someone please inform me exactly what is Eriksen's salary. And how much are we paying gross with those new tax laws.

It is said to be 10m€ net annually. According to my calculations, with the new tax law (21.5% tax rate) that would equal to 12.7m€ gross per year.

And that 12.7m€ gross in normal situation equals to less than 7m€ net salary (46.3% tax rate).

I also read that he would have 2m€ bonus in his contract but that hasn't been rumored as widely as that 10m€ without any bonuses.

Are we sure it's net? Don't the media mainly report the wages in gross in Italy?

It's 9m net including the bonuses. And there's probably +1m of hard to reach bonuses.
