What value does he have now? clubs refused to pay 20 mio for him six months ago. Surely they do not want to pay more than that now. Better to keep him for next season and hope he play more/better so we can sell him for at least twice the price next summer. Honestly, if we get scudetto next season, i'm 100% sure we can sell much higher our players even the deadwood, if they stay for next season

this isnt FM where players have intrinsic worths and we just pull off some great deal. Everyone knows he came to Inter for 20m, and that he's not really performed and we'd be potentially looking to offload. Why would they offer anything more than like 20-30mil for him?

I know certain someone on this forum says all the big clubs were after him, but there's no real evidence of that - except PERHAPS United who have now signed two midfielders who at face value could compete with Eriksen's position, so they\'re hardly gonna be in for him

Daniel Levy says and I’m paraphrasing, “whatever the market is offering you we are willing to match it” (...) “ a top midfielder for you for $20 million doesn’t exist in today’s market” (...) “want to confirm , if your leaving it’s not due to a financial one”.

So this guy did not leave a club where he was valued at for money but because he chose Inter over Tottenham.

It’s sad that he is being benched non footballing reasons.

Yes, it was almost public knowledge that Eriksen wanted a new experience. Already in 2019 (or maybe earlier). He wanted to move to Spain in 2019 summer. No offers arrived (and Levy's ask was ridiculous). Then came in Inter and sold the project to him, so he came and signed for us. And now he's here sitting on the bench. :trollol: At least he's collecting a fat paycheck.
