In order to do that you have to get rid of Conte, so the #ConteOut campaign is still the way to go in order to save Eriksen.

We ve players like Eriksen, Sensi, Brozovic or Barella, with whom we might be able to controll our opponents but noooo we play Gags and Vidal instead. Superb!

If I were the management I’d be loaning him. Moratta has been great at loaning deadweight out only for them to return later and be a future problem. Right now, he’s deadweight so let’s load that out and when we sack Conte in the summer we’ll have a class player coming back.

Has to be loaned out especially with our coach's future in the balance. Any new manager would play Eriksen lol.

Eriksen loan to PSG and winning treble with them, then he back to Inter with Allegri is the best future Scenario.

a dry loan would be by far the best option. it would buy us time to organize the team for the future without making sacrifices that we might later regret.

anyways, as much as people love to trash conte for how he handles eriksen, this is on marotta as much as it is on conte.

we can trash conte, and rightfully so, for those absurd substitutions between 85' and 92', and for not giving him a fair chance against shakhtar. but as far as we can tell he didn't want the dane in the team.

and because marotta created the issue, it's up to him now to turn it in the great opportunity it was supposed to be. which brings us to the beginning, find a way to loan him out.

he could always tell conte that we failed to sell him because of covid, not because we are just waiting for the next coach to make him shine. :eek:blivious:

I don’t understand how it’s Marrota’s fault. In hindsight we all can say this was a bad deal considering the outlay but Eriksen at the time was a proven midfielder in the EPL.

He was one of the best midfielders in the league and was known for his intelligence. The only reason he wasn’t playing was due to contractual issues.

Eriksen would be a starter in other team in Serie A at the moment.

It's more Marotta's than Conte's fault if the player is not the one Conte wanted. It's clear Eriksen is not that type of player Conte prefers. We've seen it, he rather uses Gagliardini than Eriksen. That should tell it all. But once he gets such a player, he should change the system so that he could be used. But because Conte is what he is, that's not gonna happen. He demands constant running, pressing etc from his mids. Not "artistic" behavior, not creating, not improvising given the situation. Only executing according to the plan, the trained patterns.

This popped my mind few days ago too, that's should be the primary objective for Marotta.

Its really not Marotta fault. While I agree with the hypothesis that Eriksen was a Marotta hire and not what Conte wanted, I can see why Marotta went ahead anyway. That opportunity was too good to miss, despite the risk that Eriksen may not work out in Conte's team. And even if Eriksen fails, its unlikely we will lose much money in this transaction. I blame Marotta for not trying hard enough to cover the gaps last season. But not for buying Eriksen for 20m. That was a shrewd move, even if it didn't work out.

I also disagree that Conte did not try to integrate Eriksen or give him enough chances. Conte even changed our formation post lockdown (from 3-5-2 to 3-4-1-2) to bring the best out of Eriksen. For a stubborn coach like Conte, that is a sincere effort to integrate a player. At a top club you can only give so many chances to a player who doesn't perform or put in sufficient effort.

I largely blame Eriksen. Maybe see is going through some shit in personal life, but he has been playing shite for a while now. I have seen this before - a great player comes to a club, his skill level is above anyone else (which it is) so he assumes he just has to turn up to succeed. Eriksen didn't try hard enough. Inter is the most prestigious club Eriksen has ever played in, so he can't expect to get unlimited chances. You have to prove you deserve to start, and Eriksen didn't do that. IMO he failed largely due to lack of effort. Maybe this shock therapy of Conte will fuel Eriksen's hunger to succeed at Inter, or maybe not. But ether way, the blame for his failure so far is largely on Eriksen himself. And its upto him to redeem himself.

How can he redeem himself if he is playing only a few minutes each game?

How many games did Eriksen start this season?

Apparently he is in the starting line up tomorrow along side Sanchez and Lukaku. Hope this is the turning point for him here as I don't want us to lose him.

Conte did change formation to fit him...... but he hasn’t even been given the time/opportunity to develop an understanding with his team mates. It’s almost as he did it because he had to fit him somewhere.

He hasn’t played more that 2 games in a row.
Hasn’t played in any of the big games which we lost or tied. Gagliardini played all of them and sucked. While barella was played out of position and had poor games.

There’s been plenty of games where his creativity is needed and all he gets in 10 minutes or less.
The guy at this point wants to humiliate him because he spoke publicly that he’s not playing enough.
In the last 7 games he’s gotten like 20 minutes.

If he was playing the same amount of games gagliardini was playing and has sucked.... I don’t think anyone would complain if we decided to sale him.

Gagliardini keeps sucking and conte keeps giving him the chance to be a better player but still sucks. Conte is not even doing this with Eriksen.
