Great to see one of our greatest players of all time and a true Inter Hall of Famer ditch the only club and fanbase that gave him a chance after six months to immediately join supposedly greener pastures alongside a hefty pay raise.

He cant play in Italy.

EDIT

Kenny pointed out ur talking about Brentford, you have a point but thats his last big move in terms of money and an elite club to try and win a trophy with. Considering he is lucky to be even playing every opportunity counts at this stage.

I would have stayed at Brentford but im not a professional football player making decisions.

Also the inclusion to La Grande Inter on a forum is symbolic, nothing to be taken that serious.

He was talking about Brentford.
Anyway, can't blame him, could be his last big money contract.

Why not? He was only signed for 6 months.

No sane club would sign a player that was dead for literal seconds, only had barely started physical training and didn't play competitive football for eight months to anything but a very short-term contract.

Maybe he'll make some generic, one-time general "thank you to the footballing world" after having signed the dotted line at United. We've certainly seen that before.

Oh yeah, i'm not contending it's nothing but a gimmick on a football forum, but if it's there, might as well not make it stupid. If not, then it's a gimmick with the added characteristic that it's stupid.

The mods have admitted that they made a poll in very certain and exceptional circumstances that we've never seen before and will likely never see again, people, very understandably caught up in their emotions, voted with their hearts, and now we have a player with 60 appearances in LGI, a place that's supposed to herald the very best and most important in our club's history (again, nothing to take seriously, but if not, then just tear it down).

I voted him in, which again means nothing, if its stupid its stupid and makes for some debate, it doesnt have to be all or nothing.
If it doesn't mean anything, why did you choose to vote?

Eh, good for him. With Ten Hag there and supposedly a De Jong deal on the way, United could actually have a really good midfield with Eriksen - De Jong - Van De Beek.

No sane club would sign such player yes. But no sane player would sign for Brentford if he can sign for Man United. Brentford didn't take any risk so why would Eriksen be somehow loyal to them. It was not some big effort by Brentford so that Eriksen would be somehow in debt to them IMO.

I don't disagree, Eriksen doesn't seem to be indebted to anyone, or seemingly even willing to go slightly out of his way to point out support that was massive and ever-present from- and around his employer during the most trying time of his life.

So people need to stop this constant venerating of him. We're all glad he isn't dead, but he doesn't give two shits about Inter - it doesn't seem to have registered to most Inter fans, though.

Nope.
Hes also in lgi just cause he almost died, not cause of his play, which was good for perhaps 25 games.

Which along with Perisic led to a scudetto and had Conte not been a stubborn person they would have contributed more.

Vidal, Darmian and many others also contributed for the scudetto, but i doubt any of them will be voted in LGI. Stop trying to find some excuses for Eriksen. He wasn't something special at Inter, especially considering that we paid around 27 mln for his services along with his fat salary.

Or just rename it into FIF's favourite players or some bs like that. On one hand it's easier to find a player you want to read about if there is a distinction like that, but if LGI is destroyed and purged, I don't mind at all

He played a big part, bigger than all the players u mentioned. No Perisic & Eriksen no scudetto, its the truth.
