Somehow Berni gets in the CL squad but Gagliardini can't
According to regulations, Inter sent UEFA the list of players who will participate in the group stage of the Champions League 2018/19 against Barcelona, Tottenham and PSV. Below is the complete list issued a few minutes ago by the Nerazzurri club, which does not include Joao Mario, Dalbert Henrique and Roberto Gagliardini, who lost the run-off with Matias Vecino .

Fuck FFP,seriously. 4 goalkeepers in CL squad because of those regulations. I can live with exclusion of Dalbert and Joao Mario, those were very stupid investments, but 28 mln for Gags... Just imagine what could happen if Gabigol and JM were at least decent players- we could sell them this summer and easily include Gags to the squad list.
A shame we don't have any decent players in our B squad. I remember Milan including Pato or us including Balotteli to list B. Now there are only youngsters who are way below par.

Candreva was included in EL list 2 years ago so he effectively has 0 cost.

10 years of FIFAnd this is why we’ll end up 4th and y’all will see. We’ll be facing two of the most offensive teams in the world without a single midfielder who can act as DM / have idea what defending is.
If we at least manage to progress to EL, Spallo must do something with Joao Mario's value- I still think that if we manage to sell them both in January, we can include Gags to the playoffs' squad list. Though, it could be too late or even won't happen if we fail at the group stage.

What. the. fuck. This might be the most Inter thing I've ever witnessed. We go out of our way to make life as shit and difficult as possible, in every way we can find. Whether it be shitting 70 million away on shit mario and shitigol or having a coach that plays favourites (AGAIN, WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAPPEN) and is unable to see that a Gagliardini-Brozovic midfield is the closest thing to a fucking cohesive unit we fucking have.
Unless I'm a fucking idiot, it seems like we could have included Gags if we fucked off Vecino and Borja Valero from the list. I want Spalletti to explain exactly why this didn't happen. We have a young, talented Italian prospect that could actually flourish, and we tell him 'haha no fuck yourself, this shit cunt of a Uruguayan and this old bald done fuck are obviously better than you'. Even if we know, and he knows, that he's obviously better than those two, it's still going to affect his confidence. And then he'll play worse. And then Spalletti will use that as an excuse to keep playing Vecino. Fuck off.

The shortened squad list and FFP regulations were tough to overcome but even here we managed to fail.
We absolutely cound include Gags instead of Vecino and Borja cause his transfer value (28m) could be compensated by 24m+5,5m from Vecino and Borja.
Pros: We could have very good starting squad in CL with Naingolan-Brozo-Gags midfield. Our starting 11 of Asamoah-Skriniar-De Vrij-Vrsaljko-Brozo-Gags-Radja-Perisic-Icardi-Politano (Lautaro, Keita, Candreva) will be very sinister for any opposition. Bench, though, would be very limited and only would consist of attackers plus Ranocchia. The only solution could be starting Dumbo as LB and have Asamoah or Skriniar as a backup CM (DMs).
Cons: We would become very predictable, as 4-2-3-1 (4-3-3) would probably be the only possible formation and Asamoah and Vrsaljko along with midfielders must be 100% fit and play every match. Three attackers can be rotated, as we would have plenty of them.
Barca in 2010-11 (treble season) basically started all the games with LB-Puyol-Pique-Dani Alves-Busquets-Iniesta-Xavi-Pedro-Villa-Messi line up (IIRC, most of those people has had total 4000+ minutes that season which is fcking huge number for any footballer) and still convincingly won every competition they entered except Copa del Rey only at extra time. It certainly requires some miracle from both the players and coaching staff (fitness, medics, etc.) but it's doable. So yeah, I would totally be up for having very few midfielders for CL but at least be totally confident with them and being sure that at least starting 11 is on par with most of the top clubs.
Currently we have underperforming CM and underperforming deep-lying playmaker (Borja) who are just not on the level they were before (Borja in Villareal and Fiorentina) or never were good in the first place (Vecino). Saddening.

10 years of FIFCandreva is there because he was in the previous list. It was Vecino vs Gagliardini and for some reason Spallo chose Vecino.
In that sense I really hope Gags is going to play Serie A for all the season, as much as he can. Vecino is the backup who goes and plays the CL games.

10 years of FIFYeah, though that 5 is uncalled for. You can't force sell a player if he's picky with the destination as JM clearly was. Though missing the midfield addition was a mistake. Some low cost loan would have been serviceable. Probably we couldn't get any kind of starter anyway.

For one, it seems he actually, no joke, does rate Vecino and Valero. He did after all, specifically request him and he wanted Valero back when he was at Roma. That in itself is disgusting, but it is what it is. Moreso, I imagine he thinks that from a simple numerical perspective, 2 midfielders are better than 1 - even if the one is a better player than the other two shitstains combined.
Imagine if we did include Gagliardini at the expense of Vecino and Valero, and he or another midfielder got hurt? It would cause an entire reshuffle of our team considering our lack of options in midfield and LB. Clearly Baldman has no intention of using Dalbert and wants Asamoah as his LB. That's fine. But if a midfielder got hurt, we'd either have to drop Nainggolan deeper into the holding midfield (and I remain unmovably convinced that Spalletti specifically wants Nainggolan at AM), or pull Asamoah from LB to play in midfield. With Vecino and Valero in the squad, even if a midfielder got injured, we'd still have more "options" - even if they're fucking garbage.
