Really? I thought every Colombia worships James, it seemed like that was the case when he got subbed on against Japan.

I mean, other than being lazy off the ball and low work rate, the guy is a fucking magician on the ball.

What what what? Lazy? Low Work rate? Quintero or James?

James had a calf injury...... thats why he couldn't run against Japan. He wasn't even 100% against Poland.

James is a fake #9 or winger...... Real wanting him to be a DM or make him the Colombian Pogba was just stupid. Him being shit on defense is because he basically a striker

Lazy and low work rate compared to modern era of trequartista such as Nainggolan.

I consider James more of a classical type of trequartista with less off the ball pressuring.

It's like that in most countries though. Remember what the English said about Scholes 15 years back and kept saying for years? They only changed their minds 10 years after that. In some top countries there are others to come. Italy had been blessed with a Totti vs Del Piero dilemma and they also had amazing defence and strikers during that time. In the past it was Mazzola vs Rivera. The least favorable was always the scapegoat and his performances were always played down. It just depends on the situation, but many great players suffer from this. Milinkovic-Savic at the moment is probably brutally abused by Serbian media because he's not winning by himself. Messi is heavily criticised for not winning with Argentina etc etc.

James is a wonderful player. I feel honoured to have watched him from his relatively early days even if there was a period where I missed him a bit when he came to Europe.

Whenever I watched him for Madrid or Bayern, his work rate was very good. It was like a CM playing as attacking mid, with superb passing ability. Would be very surprised if he was criticised for his work rate.

Speaking of Quintero, Real (and Tottenham) are linked with him.

James was very good playing for Madrid in midfield 3 for Ancelotti, that's the best I saw him play for Madrid. Still his best quality is in final third so playing him deeper is waste of his talent but at Madrid i liked it.

James numbers at Real we’re insane even in his last season not even playing much. He wasn’t Zidane kind of player.

Quintero is a midtable Spanish or Italian team player at best. He failed everywhere but DIm(Colombia) and River. Only a South American coach in a South American League will like a player with such low work rate and stamina because he gives that nice final pass or has lovely first touch.

Best team I can see Quintero go to and actually start and have a career in is Sevilla. Maybe even Arsenal haha if they keep that new coach for a while. Quintero is the Colombian Riqueleme and the Colombian Quaresma. No denying he has incredible god given ability but he is a total shit head at 23 think he almost retired to have a music career. He is also a reggeton singer haha. He is slow, lazy, has low stamina, doesn’t run, defend..... and is invisible 80% of the game. He just looks god like becauae he has James, Cuadrado and Falcao and everyone is focusing on them. So leaves this dude totally open. He having a good World Cup but Cardona is much better he was just an idiot and got banned for making the racist Asian eye gesture against Korea.

Like Quaresma everyone wanted Quintero because he was hyped as the new James(Ronaldo... James was dubbed the Colombian Ronaldo when he was at Banfield in Argentina.)

Both have been given way too many chances at clubs and fail. I mean I would love for this to be Quinteros wake up call. But come
On Real passed on James who they own why would they spend money to buy a player not even 1/100th as good. Puro humo (pure smoke/shit)

Whenever I watched him with Madrid he was rather slow on defensive contribution and do basically zero pressing on opponent. Same with at Colombia, even in last world cup.

He's basically like a Totti playing AM to me, unless that's changed.

Admittedly I haven't seen him in Bayern at all, but I doubt a player style just changes all of a sudden.

Like crzd said, secondary striker playing at AM rather than Cm playing at AM.

He was back out with the team. Walking normally. Think the coach just thought he wasn’t at 100% and not playing wel.
James was super pissed to be subbed off

Prob won’t start but if it’s 2nd half and we are tied James is coming in...

As for his work rate. It has increased big time at Bayern. Madrid just had shit media and fan base. Cristiano Ronaldo has his birthday party and James goes while injured. Some how James is the asshole when all of Real Madrid went.

You really can’t say a players work rate is bad or he is and defensively when he is being played out of positon.

Or is Icardi great defender?

Fuck this, wanted James to play against England. Would be awesome if England gets KOed after all the drama. At least they would have easily qualified to QFs had they won the group, now it's very much likely that they will be out in R16.

On James, i remember him playing in midfield 3 during some injury crisis, under Carlo Ancelotti. Thought his work rate was fine and he was very good. It's just surprising that big clubs other than Bayern didn't even try to sign him from Madrid when he wanted out and Madrid wanted to sell him.

Big teams did want James they just weren’t willing to pay $70 to 80 million for him

Man U, Juve, Inter, AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea wanted him. He didn’t want to go to Italy. He wanted Man U said he was house shopping there but they offered like 40 and Real was like go eat a bag of baby dicks you cunts!!!

Then Bayern game was like 2 year loan and if we like him we will give you 35 million but we won’t fk around or be cunts the next time you want one of our guys. Rumors is he wants to leave because of the new coach of Bayern and Man U might get him. Rather he stays in Germany. Rumor is Real wants him back but he hates Madrid media for how unfair they were with him. He takes a 5 minute shit and it’s like why did it take you more then 2 minutes to poop!!

Alfredo Morelos was called 22 year old from Rangers in Scotland. Seriously super shocked by this. Reason to mention him is someone asked about him before. I don’t rate Scotland any better then MLS. But he done well in Europa league. Didn’t think he’d be called till he went to the EPL but a few French teams want him. Hope he gets plenty of minutes against Venezuela but if he scores on Argentina then he will be a national hero.

Duvan Zapata of Atalanta totally destroyed Roma yesterday and wasn’t called. But that could be he is in a new team and coming from injury

Only 3 forwards called. Falcao, Morelos and Bacca(god when will this Milan cancer leave us in piece!!!)

So think he will get a fair shot tho also might have just been called to get him a transfer.

Fairly up and coming team, basically bought a disused ruin, put 60,000 seats in it and managed to go from the 3rd division to the SPFL in 5 years. Not bad for such a new small club

Jackson Martinez signed for Portimonense a team that will probably fight for the middle of the table but has a decent team, super surprising move but I’m happy to see him back in action, hope the injuries only took away a few of his abilities.

I don’t know what happened in Brazil

But Zuniga, Jackson and Carbonero who was owned by Roma all never played again all got random injuries.

Jackson hopefully recovers it’s been like 3 years since he last played. Rumor was he was going to go to Sporting but glad he left China
