You rock Khalid. I'm looking at the below Samsung Model. It costs just less than US$ 600. Best part is if I give up my Lenovo in exchange I might have to pay a max of 250 or 300 US to get this one!!!

• Windows Vista Home Premium • Intel® Pentium Dual Core Processor T4200 (2.00GHz, 800MHz, 1MB) • Intel GM45 + ICH9M • 2GB (DDR2 / 2GB x 1) • 2 x SODIMM • 15.4” WXGA (1280 x 800) Gloss • Intel GMA X4500 (Int. Graphic) • Shared Memory (Int. Grahpic) • 1.3 MP Web Camera • 250 GB (5400 rpm S-ATA) • Super Multi Dual Layer (S-ATA)

Now I know its not the same, it has shared graphic memory or whatever, but what I want to know is how poor is it compared to what you posted?

Thank you bro, I was good at all this, but then I really lost touch.

No problem man, glad i can help.

Back on topic, the one i posted is WAY better man, no comparison.

-The processor of the dell can be configured with a higher Core 2 Processor with a higher MHz and 3MB of Cahce, not 1. The processor of the samsung is the lowest Core 2 Processor for laptops on the market right now.

-Graphic Cards with laptops cant really make you play games man, you will be able to play them at meduim to low settings and getting a graphic card like that wont help at all, you need a discrete graphic card, and not only do they help in games but they also are important with anything multimedia you do with the laptop. Thats why the laptop should have at least a 9400 GT or GS Nvidia, models bigger than 13 Inch will have a 9600 GT Nvidia, depends on what you want, you asked for a 14 inch so i posted the best 14 inch i can find on dell.

-Harddrives are whatever really, depends on how much storage you have.

-The one you just posted also has a DRR2 Rams...thats the old Ram models, now they are DDR3 with at least 1066MHz...i think this ram will be something like 800mhz and its ddr2.

-Also does this have the windows 7 upgrade coupon? When you buy a laptop now with windows vista it should have an upgrade coupon where you pay a reallly small fee to update your laptop. Also make sure the Windows is 64 bit vista, way better since you can increase the ram and the updgrade option will also be to a 64 Bit windows 7, if you get a 32 bit vista you can only updgrade it to a 32 bit windows 7 version, and if you have more than 4GB of ram (if you want to upgrade in the future) the windows only sees 4GB on 32bit windows.

ALso the one i posted doesnt have an internal DVD drive, but you can get an external one for it, dont cost much and with portable use i dont really think you need an optical disc anyways.

I found a similar laptop in HP to what i posted from Dell but i wont post it since the dell one is way better.

Thanks mate, that pretty much makes my decision, time to start saving up. I'd rather wait for Windows 7 to come out here and then buy it, cant afford to before Oct anyways.

Khaled that site is definitely a scam. Seems to have some connections to Chinese servers and different payments processors.

In general I don't think there is such a thing as a centralized online software store. But if you want to buy and download applications, you can do that from most developer websites. For example, store.microsoft.com or store.adobe.com

Yeah Ehsan is right. I don't know of any centralised online software store and most of the developers do offer their software directly from their own sites.

For some reason, my cookies keep getting deleted. I have to re-login again every time I go to forums, Facebook or e-mails.

I tried looking around at the Firefox option but to no avail...Any help please? Thanks. :)

I had this problem couple of times before. Solution is so difficult, it's easier to install Google Chrome :D

Got to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS in the Microsoft Web Browser, make sure the "DELETE BRWOSING HISTORY ON EXIT" is not ticked, if its not then another program is deleting it automatically for you.

The thing is, I do not use IE, ever. The only time I used it was to download the Firefox installation. :D

I think I'm still using the old IE and there is no such cookie option. The security level was set on medium though.

And weirdly enough, after I posted my problem here, it seems to be gone. :D Seriously wtf

I use FF as well. Look under tools then options then privacy and look what your third party cookie setting is, in ff not ie.:)

The line just under that box does it say keep until they expire or do you have another setting.

No help on this? :( Ehsan-clopedia?

I've Googled everywhere but to no avail. I've tried re-installing Firefox as well. I've tried allowing Cookies exception, using custom settings, etc etc. Heck I've even uninstalled my free anti-virus!

Gonna try downgrading Firefox tomorrow...
