I still don't understand why this is not going ahead at River's stadium. The G20 is there right now so the police are out there, would have been fine to play it there in my opinion. This whole thing is terrible really.

Well, they decided to play in Madrid on the 9th of December. Yet, Boca still refuses to play and wants the cup handed to them without a game...

honestly river supporters deserve this and also argentinian police deserve the humiliation. you can't destroy a bus and cause injuries to the players and the police didn't do enough to prevent this from happening. river shoulòd just be thankful they didn't lose by forfeit

These things are accidents and can happen, not all river supporters were part of it.

There was quite literally nothing accidental about what happened.

I am not saying it happened by chance or that they didn't mean to do it, i meant these things may happen by some people on either sets of fans.

Didn't happen with the previous leg. There are plenty times a set of fans are punished for the actions of a minority.

well, for me it made things more interesting, more drama to a match which gets the most attention for the rivalry than the technical aspects. also, i'm curious to see if argentinian hooligans will be able to bring some guerrilla to madrid lol

How many people are expected to be in attendance today? I'm curious how tickets worked re: people who bought them in Argentina but can no longer go, etc.

150,000 people requested tickets just from Argentina and that's excluding the sponsor giveaways which is usually around 5% of capacity. So I guess it's gonna be packed.

it's a two-leg final. it was 2-2 in the first leg and the away goals rules doesn't apply, so who wins tonight is the champion, otherwise it goes to extra time. after the first half boca is leading 1-0

Yes I saw the goal, very well executed counter, but River plate defenders gave themselves away very quickly, maybe I'm just used to Serie A defending style, they were clumsy as hell.

Refereeing is mediocre so far, a bit contradictory double standards it feels. Not that it favours a team or something, but for example Boca wins a foul where the same call is not given to River, then ref gives River a call that he immediately ignores for Boca etc. First final referee was one of the best I've seen in a top competition on the other hand.

Yes I saw the goal, very well executed counter, but River plate defenders gave themselves away very quickly, maybe I'm just used to Serie A defending style, they were clumsy as hell.

River was attacking so they were completely off guard. It was an excellent pass and great first touch by Benedetto, but River could have buried a goal in 2 consecutive situations just before. Boca did have the better chances in the game to be fair.

Okay, I take it back. Ref is obviously biased.

Pratto won a PK from the GK and the ref decided it was an offensive foul instead...

Seems like Tevez got his wish, the federation will hand this to Boca.
