I understand and acknowledge that he has improve heaps but people are acting like they forget all the horrendous displays and poor back tracking/aerial marking that led to him being wanted on the transfer list. Id be more than happy to have him as our rotating RB/LB off the bench, in Copa Italia matches and filling in for injured/fatigued starters but to suggest he's good enough to start for us next season and be made permanent when our goals are clearly to improve and challenge are kidding themselves. The goal in the mercato should be world class fullbacks, that hasn't changed.

I agree about Rano (no shit), but I have to disagree about Danilo. Sure the guy isn't setting the world on fire and his skills are a little above mediocre at best, but his work-rate, commitment and being more of a 'work for the team' than 'I'm a selfish primadonna and I only care about me playing and my salary' is welcomed in my opinion for someone in his role. He's a fine rotation player. You must have a bunch of those in your team, specially when you're planning to compete in 3 competitions next season on a long run.

candreva makes him look good, that is all there is to it. dambrose is still an average serie a fullback. its just that candreva helps out loads, in build up, in defense, tracks back. he basically masks dambrose his weak points.

its old news that our fullbacks are trash. last season they were weak aswell and ausilio did fuckall to fix it. in fact our fullbacks have been trash for a long long time. and then people are surprised when we get owned on the counter or when opposition perforates our defense.

but at least last match he has been good. so we need to give him an extension and high wages

Maybe D'Ambrosio has been a pro whenever I didn't watch him. Perfect timing if that's the case. I care more about the top matches I do watch, rather than Pescaras, etc...
