I hope we didnt pay 35M for this guy to sit on the bench... starting him over mkhitariyan is a must.

Frattesi is a long term signing, he's a newcommer in this club, did you expect him to start right away ahead of our veterans?

I think Barella also was mainly sub player when he came.

Nope, Barella was a starter by game day 3. But eriksen was... and yes, i expected one of the best midfielders in the league to start.

I’ll be a little concerned if Mkhi misses the next game and he still doesn’t start. Otherwise I’m not concerned..yet.

He’s clearly still adjusting. Couldn’t find the space and read the movements in the time he had.

Almost 0 impact BUT that's as expected. He's got talent for sure but will need time to adjust and I'm okay with it because our starting mid are good. Hope its clear to everyone that he's not ready to dethrone Mikhy YET.

Not ideal to have the 35 M signing sitting on a bench, but being benched by a 34 years old midfielder must lit a fire under his ass. At the current rate, there should be no complain because Miki justifies his starter role so Frattesi must work hard to sideline him. It is a long and packed season, the latter will get his chances. If he keeps working hard, eventually Frattesi will be better player than what we bought and he will be ready to be our long term midfielder.

If he doesn’t start the derby it’s a joke. What a player. But no shock it will be Lukaku V2 CL final with Inzaghi
Why? Is our midfield so dysfunctional that we need to shake it up ahead of our most important match of the season?
This guy looks rapid, didn't realise quite how quick he was.
Very fast! Can’t wait to see Bastoni spraying cross-field passes to a sprinting Frattesi.

A handful of prople don't understand how important continuity is. I think most people here rate Frattesi, but he does need time integrating it.

People also don’t understand that he can’t play like he’s currently playing under Spaletti-ball.

Yes, he looks very dynamic and dangerous with his runs into the box. However, until he’s proven himself to possess Miki/Valero type attributes, he’s simply a bad fit to start over Miki. He simply won’t have the freedom to do that playing on the left. Miki plays very reserved and drifts back when Dimarco and Bastoni bomb forward.

If Frattesi does start, it’ll either be ahead of Barella, or we’ll have completely change our play-style. This may well be what ends up happening (I can see Barella playing ahead of Miki and Frattesi playing on the right) but it’s not going to happen three games into the season and it’s especially not going to happen when what we currently have is working like clockwork.

At the end of the day, it’s a wonderful dilemma for a team to have.
