I don't want him back.

He is not that bad, definitely better than Jonathan, but he hasn't improved a bit since moving to Newcastle, and i'd even say he declined a bit. Still makes retarded mistakes. And he'd make them more at Inter, given the pressure which is 100 times more than in Newcastle, more tactical oriented league which won't suit him, even tho he is Italian.

So nah, no thank you.

I wouldn't say the pressure is higher here than Newcastle though, I'd say it's the opposite. As sad as that sounds.

Pressure, in Newcastle, bigger than the one at Inter?

Then Newcastle must be the most under pressure team ever :D

Well playing in the EPL alone has a lot more pressure on a player I would say, not just with Newcastle. Some would say that the team should also be doing better than they have been the past 2 (3?) seasons, but I'm not familiar with them enough so I won't comment.

You're right though that he would be under a lot of pressure over here, but so are our other players. At least the chances of him being singled out in the media is lower in Italy than in England.

Maybe you are right, about the media, but don't forget we are INTER. Every young player after a miss or a bad spell is being bullied by the media as well, as well as the fans who demand too much. Also Inter is way bigger than Newcastle, and Italian league is more tactical oriented. I think the chances of him failing are bigger in Serie A then in EPL.

I have nothing against if we take him and give him Andreolli time, if he improves and becomes better, then good for us, if not, nothing to be lost...

when you have a coach named pardew, how could he develop into a better player? a coach who choose hayden mullins instead of mascherano and Marlon Harewood instead of Carlitos.. once his contract set to expire, i'm sure milan is after him and try to get him for free..

there is also pressure in smaller clubs, every club has it's own goals to fulfill

He is presently injured and was unavailable for Newcastle's first match of the season against Manchester City.

I've heard pundits that know both leagues say the pressures in Italy as far more than in England. Supposedly the media dissects everything far more in Italy compared to England.

It might affect also that in Italy he is the "new Maldini" and in England he is just some italian kid.

Mourinho many times stated that the pundits in Italy were much harsher.

Italian pundits are cold blooded. They honestly critique to the point of making players self conscious.

I Boban getting into it with Balotelli last year, doubt you would see that in England.

So...what happened with this guy? Is he still injured?
He is 24 years old, not a "bambino" anymore.

Nope, he is on Newcastles bench for a month or two now. He was about to enter in the last 2-3 games but it didn't happen.

Thanks for the update!
Do you think he could have a better present had he stayed with us?
(I know we didin't invest wisely those 5MM pounds we got for him)
