Is this Rossi the same person whom Milos quoted in that lengthy Ronaldo article? If so, he seems like a delusional man.

So a loan deal with an option to sign him next summer. Absolutely brilliant. Let's think about it guys. If Samuel doesn't live up to the price then we can simply not sign him, but if he does (and he will) then that will give us a longer chance to get the cash and resources to sign him outright.

Though what I really, really, really like about this deal is that it doesn't cut down the limited budget for this transfer market. In other words instead of having less cash to sign other players, the cash will still be around since Samuel will only be coming on loan. Fantastic. With Samuel on loan we can then focus on other players for other positions.

I heard a fee was involved with the Samuel Loan deal. Somewhere in the range of 1-3 Million euros....

Samuel was back up to his old tricks against Germany.

Absolutely pointless fouls that gets yellow cards and puts the team in danger, in fact the first goal was his fault when he gave away that free kick the eventual goal went in.

2ndly, throughout the night he was doing some pointless fouls at times near the half way line when there is no danger, just like at REal Madrid he baffles me. If we wanted such a player we already have Matrix or miha.lol

yeah, I had no idea what the fark Samuel was doing, but I don't think he took the game too seriously, to be honest, he has never looked that comfortable in the NT jersey, unless Ayala is next to him.

But, I'm sure that he will be up to his very old tricks once he joins us (if) and put strikers into his pocket constantly.

Luisao has apparently extended his contract with Benfica now, so now we are down to basically three choices as the partner with Cordoba. The first choice is of course Samuel which seems to be on the table at least. The second is Chivu, whose performances as of late has left a lot to be desired. And the third choice is Jorge Andrade.

God help us if we can't get anyone of those and Burdisso stays in Argentina.

Andrade has kinda put himself on the market, saying that he wouldn't mind a move to Manchester United, but thats only if he has to pick a club to join in England.
Interesting.

Shouldn't Gallas be on the market though? Considering that Chelsea just bought Del Horno, it means that Gallas will have to act as a back-up or severe rotation. He's not gonna bench one of Carvalho or Terry, that is for sure.

Considering he is a central defender first of all, you'd think he should be worried about his role at Chelsea.

Im sure Gallas knows his role next season. This season he was only left back because BOTH Bridge and Paolo were injured.

Yeah, but he is just WAY too good to be just a back-up at any team. I rate him as one of the best defenders in the world.

Moratti will give up Samuel :scared: and turn on Chivu.

It's not good. Moratti can't get Samuel? this meaning is Chivu also impossible. because Samuel is almost offcially transfer list so Moratti can't? probably Chivu also will not joining. now Chivu more difficult target. Roma don't want loan deal. neverever. only cash. about 15m euro. my mean is if Moratti can't spend money for Samuel? so Chivu also... Roma never want loan deal. Samuel also finally will go to Gobbi. never happening remain at real madrid.

But I hope that news is bullshiit. I wish Samuel and Chivu will wearing Nerazzurri.

Good old Ayala :proud: I miss that guy, for me he is the best defender in the past decade. Doesn't need a world-class CD or a GK next to him to peform miracles and win La Liga's. That's why I rate him higher than Maldini, Nesta, Rio etc.

And you are right Catanha, Samuel struggles with the argentinian NT because of their style of play. They play a La Liga-style soccer rather than Serie A. Samuel is pure Serie A material, he isn't comfortable playing in a scheme were CD's can advance to the Center circle and join the play.

He is best when staying around the box defending and not worrying about joining the attack. With Cordoba and JZ next to him, he won't have to move much. I am not worried about his performance with the NT since we don't play that type of soccer.

I know Juan hasn't been linked to us much lately but in the past he has been and let me just say something... This guy is not very good. I watched him play for Brazil against Japan and he looked pretty hopeless at times. Frankly Mihajlovic/Materazzi/Burdisso would be far better to use than him.

Hopefully Samuel and Solari are signed pronto. I don't want any mess ups, especially when it comes to Samuel. To be honest I don't want Chivu as our CB, I'd rather see him as a LB, but I'd only like us to show interest in him AFTER we already have Samuel locked down. Please Moratti, GET IT DONE!

BTW Jimmy, I agree with you. I also rate Gallas highly and I wouldn't mind seeing him join us. But I simply don't see how that would be possible. Unless Chelsea wants Emre/Van der Meyde/Davids. Then perhaps a deal could be struck.

Coco to Parma? Sure. I don't care where he goes, as long as HE GOES.

AMEN.

Gianluca Rossi is a journalist working for a small TV Station called Telelombardia (well he was when I left Italy).

He's an Inter fan and follows the boys everywhere.

He's not God, but I'd say he's surely more reliable than many football crapsites.

I'm really getting nervous here.

Chivu, not only lacks the size to partner Cafe Colombia, but is too injury prone for my taste. Sure, he was in sensational form as the captain of Ajax and has plenty of potential, but I want a player that is already world-class ala Walter Samuel.

Moratti simply cannot give up on 'The Wall'. Real Madrid are willing to talk, and we'd be making the mistake of the century, as hard to believe we have yet to have such an opportunity.

Jimmy and a few others mentioned Gallas. Please, no. He has no sense of positioning and has always been overrated to me. We might as well sign a technically gifted player like Juan if that is the case, IMO.
