If we're being honest, Darmian has always been a better choice while he was still killing it. It was nice to have different type of players for that position, but Darmian is tactically first tier when it comes to it. We've always favoured our left flank with Dimarco, so Darmian brought stability and tactical advantage to our team. He's quite underrated offensively aswell.

Might not be flashy player with brilliant stuff and everything, but he's done things effectively and simply. He's managed to be a threat on far post involvement, but also could assist.

I absolutely love Dumfries for how he performs these days, but I wouldn't take any of Darmian's credit away just because he's declined recently and he's not the same player anymore.

Maybe first season when Dumfries came, Darmian could plays as a starter, but last two years its a no brainer to start Dumfries.

Hopefully nothing serious with Dumfries' situation. Need him back strong and determinated, as he's build momentum has has been one of key players lately. I appreciate his effort to squeeze teeth and keep on, but he should've been substituted earlier. He consumed way too much energy in the mid-week match against Feyenoord. But for what he's a real warrior, you gotta put some respect on it.

Man has the same engine Barella has. Hopefully if he’s hurt we’ll have our other wingbacks ready for the end of month. We are going to miss him if he’s out for longer than a few weeks.

Had a feeling once he started grabbing his hamstring. Oh well we'll have Dimarco, Zalewski and Darmian all back by Milan latest and Dumfries was likely going to rest some of those matches regardless as he's been playing nonstop. Plus Pavard and Bisseck can operate at RWB. Due to the quantity of games injuries are gonna keep happening til seasons end. Just gotta hope our depth guys can operate well enough to survive. Theres a reason trebles and even doubles are pretty rare nowadays.

I think we just need to add a new RWB. We're just unfortunate that all the players injured currently are the wingbacks. Zalewski was also RWB under Mou.
Even if Darmian stays, he can cover some other position as well.

Darmian is kinda done after this season imo. I’m not sure about his contract status, but I wouldn’t want to rely on him next season to play substantial minutes. Maybe we give Zanotti a good look in the summer.
