Never expected him to become this good. God damn, and i know for sure now that he will be even better as the season progress.
Kudos to whom ever bought him

You can tell from his face. Dumfries has always been very humble and looks super serious on the pitch. Then you have Correa with his stupid goal celebration like he’s won the Ballon d’Or for the 3rd time.

This is why fans also prefer a mature fighter like Skriniar or post-Bayern Perisic, and not an Instagram star like Vidal.

Technical attributes alone do not dictate a player’s potential in the long run. Their attitudes matter even more.

Good but still not enough as usual, his positioning was awful as always. Besides he was somewhat weak in defence.

I like the guy but we cannot hide his limitations. We used to thrive from that right wing spot with Hakimi but now we are pretty useless as he doesn't occupy the correct spaces tactically.
Appreciate the effort, but since there's some interest from wealthy teams I'd say it'd be prudent to cash him in.

The wing back spot in the 3-5-2 is more of a physical one rather than a tactical one, but you still need to be tactically alert. Dumfries appears to be fast and physical but he's not. Very deceptive that way due to his long legs.

It's no wonder that guys like Candreva or even Lazzari are doing very well in this role but poor Denzel here barely has his moments. I think he can reach a good enough level in 2 years but we don't have that time to teach him.

Yeah good confidence booster. Still not at his top form like before Christmas. Somehow I feel like he's a lot more visible when Perisic isn't playing. Cos then all attacks will gravitate towards Denzel.

I love his low crosses, shit works for when we counter-attack

Also good shot in the second half

I agree with a lot of this, minus the selling him part.

He has some serious limitations that have contributed to our lack of ability to attack this season. He can't create on his own. He can't take on defenders. His crossing is usually poor. Most of his highlights have come from his work rate, and being one of the few players on this team willing to counter. If our strikers weren't coming off the worst 8 week run, ever, more people would be complaining about Denzel.

But I also can't vouch for selling him. He's 25 years old, a regular contributor, and was cheap. There's no way Suning give us money to buy a proper replacement for him. We can't buy a better player for 12M. He's a great rotation option if nothing else.

If some EPL club offers 30M, it's a different discussion.

Noussair Mazraoui of Ajax is on the last year of his contract. Never watched him, but read good things about him. If someone offers 20-25m for Dumfries I don't mind selling him and get Mazraoui for free.

I dont think bayern will end up signing him but if they do we will officially be the most cursed club in terms of holding onto full/wingbacks

He can go for the right price. He’s got one hell of an engine and a great attitude, but ultimately replaceable. We could take a page from Atalanta’s book here.
