He looks like a mix of Pogba and Van Dijk.

Him taking #2 from Hakimi is a nice statement, regardless of whether it's intentional or not.

I have relatively high hopes for this guy - definitely doesn't look overly talented with his feet, but physique, hard-work, determination, pace, that's all there. Can definitely see a few back post headers going in from this guy.

Did a nice zig-zag run once. But mostly played it safe with several of back passes.

From his interview with DAZN:

translated from here: https://www.fcinter1908.it/copertina/dumfries-intervista-dazn/

DEBUT - "The debut was fantastic for me. My family was also at the stadium, they were happy and proud of the moment. For me it was really a special moment to enter the field for the first time with the Inter shirt.''

FULL BACKS - ''One of my points of reference was Maicon, he was really a great player. Zanetti wrote me a message when I arrived at Inter. He was a very warm welcome. I will ask him how to get to play as many games for Inter as he did.''

HAKIMI - ''Hakimi? He had an incredible season last year, they won the Scudetto. But I don't feel any pressure. I have to play my games and do my best for Inter.''

ORIGINS - ''Denzel? My players called me that for Denzel Washington. My father was born in Aruba, my mother in Suriname. There are both cultures within me. I have been to Aruba many times even on vacation. It is a paradise, the beaches are beautiful and the people very friendly. I love to go back as often as possible. I often go back there with pleasure also having my family there.''

DE VRIJ - ''De Vrij played a fundamental role in my transfer here to Inter. Furthermore, he already knew Inzaghi well from Lazio. In fact, we had already talked about Inter in the national team two years ago. He always told me it was a nice club and he hoped that one day I would come there. And now we're both happy that I got here. I am very grateful to him, it is important that he is here, he helps me with the translation. And I'm very happy with the way he treats me. He is also an agent for me.''

ITALIAN - ''Yes I am studying Italian. First word learned? Man, he means that I have the opponent behind me. Alone, run away, slide ... I don't use my hands, but I've seen that many players have used them with Genoa.''

I wonder if they asked Christian Eriksen what his favourite Christian Bale movie is 😒
To be fair i dont think eriksen was named after Christian Bale, so that question would have been even dumber

I have no idea who this guy is. I saw him at the euros only and didnt leave me much Impression. Doesn't have bad stats per se in his previous seasons. Hopefully he is half as good as Hakimi and would be decent RWB for us. He is young so thats a plus.

The first time I saw his name last year i thought of "Dumbfries, damn"

I think I first saw him from the PSV games in CL. He was one of their most dangerous players and always felt he was going to make a big transfer soon due to his characteristics.

Worst case scenario he ends up like Victor Moses, but I think he'll leave his mark here.
