FUCK. He was my favourite to leave this summer, I would sacrifice him for Pavard in an instant. Put Pavard at the back, have Darmian and Bellanova play RWB = success.
I thought Pavard wants to play as CB?

Horrible performance. He failed to raise his value in both grand stages: World Cup and now UCL final. I doubt clubs are willing to pay insane money for him and we could count ourselves lucky if we do not register loss for his sale.

Irregardless of that above, we should sell him. We can get something out of him from EPL. He simply doesn't fit to our football. He would be better in EPL. So it's win-win for everyone.

His decision making is non existing. As in, he takes forever to decide and that indecision kills a counter.

I generally like him but his decision making is atrocious. If we receive a good offer he needs to get sold.
I just don't see why anyone would offer more than 15M for this guy.

Let's be honest, Dumfries isn't that bad. His decision making is VERY bad at times but he's also able to pull a string of fantastic performances consecutively. I think he might succeed in Premierleague.

Less tactical discpline, somewhat more room for errors and everything else. Besides, his defensive game has improved significiantly since he joined Inter.

We need to look for better solutions for right-back position but if we can't upgrade it then might as well stick with him for another season. Of course, as long as we make improvements in attacking department and also bring in adequate CB's. That way, we'd still have Darmian and Dumfries challenging for right flank whilst Dimarco is good enough on the other side.

Btw, he's certainly worth more than 15-20m. Just because we suck at selling players doesn't mean that any other club wouldn't squeeze good money out of him.

His best performances were mostly because of his defensive coverage. I don't see any offensive upside because he can't dribble past his man and can't cut to his left. We our WBs way too much to rely on him.

I think his issues are mental. When he is not nervous he can play some really good games.

I disagree. There's plenty of matches where he was a beast offensively and was decisive in our matches. I usually don't give a fuck about stats but he's also been indirectly involved in many goals/assists.

Don't misunderstand me. I think we need a better right-wingback than Dumfries because like you said, our game relies a lot in that position but he is quite a good player at the same time.

Obi Wan Moussaka went for over 50m. Trust me when I say that there's a shortage of football minds, an excess of money and realistically, Dumfries moving to the PL makes him a top 3 right back there, so they'd be willing to spend. But they're not all idiots and they can smell blood when it's staring at them, so we mustn't parade around that we need 30m or 50m or 10m or whatever to save the season...

Under normal circumstances, even with a bad season, yet full one, Dumfries can be sold for over 35m to one of those schmucks. And there's intense interest from PL, even from teams that have highly celebrated right backs.

This is a league where Trippier was considered the best right back of the season. As frustrating as it is to watch Dumfries, come on...

When he's good he's good but when he's bad he's really bad, is the best way I could describe him I guess.

I don’t think he failed at the World Cup? From what I remember, the (largely) English commentators on British tv were waxing lyrical about him to the extent I half expected him to be purchased by Grimsby Town for 200m in the Jan transfer window.

Anything 30 or above. Please do it. I’m confident we could find a player with a higher ceiling for half that or less. It’s not that he’s bad; he’s just not that good.

Dumfries has been clearly told he might be sold:

Dumfries to Sky: “I'm very proud to play for Inter, these two years have been fantastic. Today, however, football is very dynamic: players come and go. I have no reason to leave. I love Inter, but as I said before we have to see what will happen”.
