Godin made at least 3 awful passes/giveaways today. I don't understand what is going on in his head when he keeps fucking up this much.

However I think this was a good match to have Godin on instead of Bastoni. Very physical battle and Bastoni is soft as shit.

Other than him being shit, starting him this often confuses Skriniar who’s forced change position every 2 games. This guy PASSED it and should never start a game for us till the end of the season. I’d let Bastoni start and make mistakes, at least we’ll benefit from it in the future.

Also, why does he think he is Messi sometimes and attempt to dribble and move forward with the ball?

Forgot to add: he was pissed when subbed off for Sanchez in the 85th minute. Old prick.

That's understandable. He wanted to win it badly and wanted to contribute, of course. That's the correct attitude.

Come think of it we could actually play 2 sets of formations.

—Biraghi—Skriniar—Godin—Moses—

Or

—Bastoni——De Vrij——D’Ambrosio—

Rano will be the backup striker :trollol:

Godin is so physically fit, bullied by a 38 year old.

For every giveaway, he got the ball right back just to give it away to get right back.

That's what happens when you play forward passes. You want him to play safe passes like Skrinair all game?

Obviously it was a very modest opponent but Godin was excellent today. I saw some newspapers/sites saying he 'struggled' and gave him lower ratings than Ranocchia and D'Ambrosio but I couldn't disagree more.

I felt he 'battled' with the Ludogorets players the most out of any of our defensive players, getting stuck in when necessary, winning the ball where he could, fouling cleverly elsewhere. He was dominant in the air, his passing was good and he drove forward with the ball several times to help out our horribly ineffective offense.

Again, a very poor opponent, but an encouraging performance and a much-needed confidence boost for Godin. I thought Eriksen was MOTM but Godin deserves an honorable mention alongside Sanchez and Valero.

Godin MOTM for me, he was the leader last night.

No Handanovic, De Vrij, Skriniar. Godin commanding Rano and D'ambro at the back.

I like Borja and Godin combo, it seems they understand each other.

Godin was very good indeed, especially 2nd half.

I feel the media and fans have been generally way too harsh on Godin all season.

Its an unpopular opinion but for me he has done better this season than Skriniar. And yes a lot of it may be down to Skriniar having the unenviable task of playing LCB whilst being right footed and the 3 man defense is something new for him.Distribution wise too Godin has done really well and Conte's system has brought out his ball playing capabilities pretty well.

Godin has definitely been better than Skriniar this season. In almost every aspect..

The thing with Godin is, people expected way too much from him. He is playing as expected, maybe little worse. But people thought we were getting the Godin from 3-4 years ago which obviously we werent.

He is making more than what a Icardi was making.... yea... that makes us expect a lot from
Him!!!

He needs to go. Sadly no money will be gotten for him

Godin is a weak cunt pushover. He was responsible for us conceding tonight. The way he was muscled off the ball was pathetic for a supposedly world class defender with tonnes of experience. People on here keep singing his praises but Bastoni needs to start against Juevntus because Godin is a liability.

He's been poor generally, but i dont think he was at fault for the goal. Pure foul, he was pushed with hand, not body to body or even shoulder.

Agreed but the goal scorer who bullied Godin is 5'7 and just 68kg. Not to mention Godin's passing into dangerous areas throughout the game. I've defended him but he's been poor from the jump, no where near the player he was in 2014-18 seasons.
