Fuck it. the whole idea of letting him go is to save money. If we need to pay for him to go, better just keep him.

If we keep him, then we won't sign Vidal. Conte is going to lose his mind if he doesn't get his beloved Arturo.

According to Pedulla, the negotiations between Cagliari and Godin are totally blocked.

Great. So we tried to push this guy out, tried to find a way to have his salary getting paid, but now the reality hits us in the face. His contract is so big Cagliari simply cannot pay it. Wondering if we end up paying more money to Godin's pocket, effectively mitigating the net benefit to us for cleaning his contract out of our books.

Sometimes I feel the management isn't planning fucking anything and pulling just shit out of their asses on a weekly basis. :D

Inability to finish seems the recurring theme of this mercato. I certainly wouldn't know what that's like.

Our inability to finish does not only apply to this mercato, it applies to the team overall and their efforts on the field.

I understand that Inter need to reduce the wage bill, but to then bring in crap as a replacement option....doesn't Inter already have enough crap they can't flush out ? Sepsis taking hold.

Who knew

Cagliari can't afford Godin?
By Football Italia staff

Cagliari continue negotiations with Diego Godin but reportedly struggle to meet the demands of the Inter defender.

The Uruguayan makes €5.5m a season at Inter and La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals he is not interested in cutting his wages.

The report claims Cagliari are working hard to convince the Uruguay international, but won’t be able to match the former Atletico Madrid centre-back's current salary.

FCInterNews previously reported Inter were prepared to guarantee the defender payment of the first three months and that Cagliari had offered the veteran €2.5m a season at the Sardegna Arena.

It's pretty clear that with the loss of Godin, Inter favours Skriniar as starting RCB, with d'ambrosio as his primary back up. If we get darmian, he would be a replacement for ranocchia, only more versatile.

Loss? We are trying to push him out while he comfortably sits on that wage. I wouldn`t leave if I was him, either.

Sky - Inter are counting on closing Diego Godin's transfer to Cagliari tomorrow.
Based on what? Why would he just give up on ~60% of his wage? If other useless players like Gagliardini and Vecino can stick around, I don`t see why Godin wouldn`t.

Stupid attempt without discussing with the player 1st, we will have to pay him more to leave and that might not even make sense in the end.

I'll tell you what we are essentially doing, but it's unnoticed by many, and especially by our incredibly short-sighted, clueless management.

We are disheartening Godin to a level in which: he will stay when this deal inevitably falls through, but he will be unmotivated to give his all for us, the club which tried so hard to push him out.

We are pissing off Vidal to a level in which he will be 12391939391 times more motivated to fuck us over like never before in the unprecedented highly possible draw in the Champions League against Barcelona where our easily foreseen defeat in the 6th game sends us straight to Europa League, or 4th place, if we are lucky.

Of course we aren't lucky, we are going to Europa League and we are eliminated by Milan via a Pirlo-esque free-kick goal by their new young shining star Sandro Tonali as the decisive moment of the draw. After that, the football media all around the world praises Milan and their visionary move by signing the young talent who poetically takes revenge against us after missing out on him in the previous summer.

Milan goes on to win Europa League.

Independent of all this, Triplete won by rube and their rookie, but genius coach Andrea Pirlo.

Nightmare.
