I wonder why we wasted our money on Sanchez when Karamoah or Calcedo would have been a better and less expensive choice. But we seemed to value finished players more than desire and hard work.

We have one kid already in team in Esposito , more then 1 is just suicidal.

Actually this must be the better managed campaign of our talents ever:
Bastoni is playing a lot for us.
Esposito is playing a lot (for his age) for us.
Radu is starting GK for Genoa.
Pinamonti is starting ST for Genoa even after changing coach.
Salcedo is playing as a starter for the coach who knows him the best , Juric who actually made Salcedo debut at Genoa when he was just 15 years old.
Karamoh is playing as a starter for Parma in the last matches.

The only to not have exploded yet from the talented ones of our latest 2 primaveras are maybe Gavillon who was expected to start his Serie A season this year but was sent on Serie B and the midfield duo Emmers and Pompetti. The 1st is playing in belgium with results i can't know while the 2nd is playing for Samp primavera when he was expected to gain some 1st team experience there as well.

If you add to that the long list of players in loan ( Dalbert , N9 , Joao Mario , Icardi , Gabigol) all of them doing pretty good you got yourself a big pool of players to handle next year either to sell or integrate in your team.

Well that makes just no sense at all.

* we didn't WASTE any money on Sanchez, we're paying only a reported 50% of his wages (5-10mil) for the one year loan
* Karamoh is mainly a winger who's too offensive to play as a wingback and not suited for one of the forward positions
* same can be said to some extent when talking of Salcedo, and he's only 18 years old, clearly we need more experienced option aswell to cover for Lukaku and Lautaro (Sanchez)
* for me a player who has played hundreds of games at big clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona and knows the league, is always an better choice especially when you need experienced cover as noted above, Karamoh and especially Salcedo are just starting their A-level careers
* Sanchez is far from finished player, yes he had a stinker in premierleague for couple last seasons, but he was very lively and certainly not missing desire and hard work in the few minutes he got to play before his unlucky injury

If a red card and a major injury when he played in three or four matches only aren't enough to make his signing bad, I don't know then what a bad signing is. We should stay away from the likes of Sanchez. There is a pattern here. They tend to be much more frustrated and lose their temper more easily if you didn't notice.

This makes no sense. Sanchez was great when he played, the weird red card and the injury don't change that.

Salcedo might be very good, but we can't use three young strikers (Esposito,Pinamonti and Salcedo) at the same time. Gamble on one and let the other two get more time to play somewhere else, so we can see which of them fits the best.

So a player gets injured (on international duty...) by a reckless challenge made by Cuadrado (well that's what I've read at least) and is unlucky to get injured in the process, it results in him being a bad signing? And what has temper gotta do with anything with the bookings (yes it was 2 yellows, not a straight red) he had in Samp game? 1st one was a late challenge, arguably not even a yellow that one. Second was a dive in the box... Temper? Frustration? No.

Exactly! I never recall we had a big pool of talents being loaned before and most of them performed well. I recall we had el chino in venezia, Adriano in Parma, and Pirlo in brescia, but they were all in different years.

For sure, performing well is a broad term, but having 18-21 years old get lots of starting position in serie-a team are big achievements for me.

I just think we should have loan out di marco. he did not get any minutes even when asamoah injured and biraghi playing so-so.

Unfortunately, we sold Karamoh completely (loan+obligation). We included a 50% future sale clause on him.

It is a good deal thou and I'm saying it as an admirer of Karamoh. The lad doesn't have mentality to become something special. Even if he blooms further and Parma sell him, we'll get fine profit of it.

Karamoh deal is loan + option to buy for 12m€. Dunno about future sale clauses.

Salcedo has knee surgery
salcedo%20verona%20twitter.jpg

Hellas Verona confirm striker Eddie Salcedo will be out for at least a month after knee surgery, but avoided far worse ligament damage.

The teenage forward, who came up through the Genoa and Inter youth academies before going on loan, had keyhole surgery on his right knee this morning.

A statement from the Serie A side confirmed the area was cleaned up with this method, meaning there was no need to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament.

“The player will nonetheless have to rest for approximately a month. The schedule for a full recovery is not at this moment quantifiable.”

Good luck Eddie, wishing you a speedy recovery like a true 18 year old [BTW could some edit the topic name, it`s not Eddy]

Colombia wants him back

The U20 coach was being a dick about him because he played for iTaly now the senior coach is like dude Inter paid how much for him and you are being a cunt. Ask him to join us.

I will like him much better if he wears yellow than white and blue :)

I wouldn’t judge him too much on one half in a preseason friendly. However I haven’t really ever seen anything that blew me away. Maybe he would be better on the wing. Another loan spell in his future.

I remember when he get minutes in preseason two years ago and I was way more impressed. On the other side, as thatdude said it was just 45 minutes of friendly match. And there were Lukaku, Perisić, Nainggolan, Eriksen around him, so I guess he was overwhelmed.

I guess Inter is on Kumbulla for real once Godin is gone they will move for him and they will probably use Salcedo to pay less or no cash this season.

Yeah, though Juric seems to want him badly back to Verona.

his agent was just at the Inter HQ. He could be on the way to Verona.

the guy is also Gagliardini's agent, so lets hope he was also a topic of discussion.
