Thing about old players is not that they cannot play or run anymore, it is their recovery time being a lot longer, so if we rest them well, the quality is there.
Obviously there will be some drop in pace and strength, cause their joints cannot handle the muscle weight etc., but the knowledge and skills are still there, and the body has not deteriorated to a point where they cannot execute it if they are fully charged.

Well if we were normally ran club then I would think twice about giving him an extension, but you just know if we let him go given our financial situation we will end up with someone like correa or dollar store version of dzeko.

If we can get rid of Correa, I'm all in for extending Dzeko for lower salary for one more year. Dzeko has shown this season how useful he is. We just need to figure out the starting partner for Lautaro and one extra bench striker. Dunno how doable it is but let's hope. From this season, going to next season with Toro-Correa sounds so much worse than going with Toro-Dzeko.
