From a club/business perspective, this signing is obviously scandalous. It’s an expensive and demoralising way to not mount a title defence. A “Dzeko signing” will carry on as a meme throughout the dark and hopeless times that lie ahead.

With that in mind, I don’t think Dzeko will be another Forlan. Despite his age, I think he’ll have some utility if he can stay semi-fit.

I’ve watched a decent number of Roma games in the past few years and he’s still capable of leading the line and playing smart & tidy with his back to goal.

Really depends on what he s here to do if he s our lukaku replacement then yes this is a disaster but if he s our pinamonti replacement then i really dont have a problem with it if he does not earn more than 3 mio.

I don't think anyone has a problem with Dzeko as a 4th forward from a sporting point of view. We just fear this.

The painful reality is that Dzeko will play a LOT more than anyone expects - or wants, for that matter.

I also find hilarious our management reiterates all summer we need to cut costs and reduce wage bill by 15-20%, we try all summer to offload our oldies with fat contracts (Nainggolan, Vidal, Sanchez) and then we go and offer a 2-year contract worth 6m net per season to 36-year old Dzeko.

This is not the chinese way. When I order products from China it works fine for a duration of time and when it gets bad I throw it away to buy a new one. We won't be able to that with Dzeko

Yes, we overpay but that's a must, when we sell a key player 10 days before the market ends. Everyone (and the player himself) know we are desperate.
