I don’t care how many goals Dzeko scored if he helps the rest of the team scoring more. He is a supporting forward. His role is dropping deep, holds up play and dishes the ball for the teammates. Dzeko could not play all matches, but his touches are still classes. Dzeko goals and assists ratio per minutes from open play is not far below Lukaku.

Atalanta don’t need Zapata to have 24 goals either to score like a machine. Dzeko to Lautaro will be similar to Zapata to Muriel.

It really depends on the second forward we are going to sign. If we get Zapata, Correa or even Insigne then yes. Dzeko will just be a backup option. But if we get Moise Kean or Scamacca, then Dzeko is going to be a starter.
