L'Equipe rumors about 3 year contract offer for Cavani by Inter. Too much if you ask me but if the salary is right, well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hopefully he accepts 2 years and we manage to reduce to salary to under 10 million.

He's very good player but most importantly he's great professional with great personality.

We need more leadership and experience and 20-25 millions spread in 3 years is not bad deal for player of that caliber.

Man, I'd get hype for Cavani despite his age and fees. I'm a fan of his playstyle

It depends on the player. I'm "ok" getting an older player given their fitness levels are ok. I'm not so sure of Cavani given his injury history. I definitely would have wanted Mertens though.

I’d go for Gabriel Jesus or Richarlison or maybe a Depay before going for Cavani. Most preferred solution for me is taking the money we are offering him and giving it to Lauti

Get him

Probably too good to be true, but since we're all missing football, have at it.
Too good would have been ~6-10 years ago, now the time is right. He has Serie A experience and is still a bomber.

Seems to live like a pro athlete, so I`m not worried about him just turning 33 this February. Remember we were most recently linked with Dzeko [34] and Giroud [33 & half] but arguably less of a player. BTW, you don`t win a bidding for these kind of players by offering 2 year deals.

It's not gonna happen. Cavani currently earns 12m per season at PSG. I can't see him accepting less than 9-10m and i certainly can't see Inter offering more than 8m.
I would not be so sure. It also depends on the signing on fee & his brother`s agent commission ;)

With 8m€ net, Cavani's cost would be little more than what Mertens would have cost us, because of tax reduction for players coming from abroad. If it's more than that, then it is more but Mertens is off the market, so it's not like there's multiple equal choices to make. Free agents are expensive salary wise, but you have to pay only the signing bonus. With others, there's huge transfer fees involved too which you need to amortize every year.
Very good point, the new taxation law should help us land him.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have decided to offer a three-year contract which should make Cavani one of the most paid players in the squad (tied with Lukaku and Eriksen). The player had great success in Serie A in the shirt of Palermo and Napoli and so he would be ready to go right away, without needing time to adapt.

The Uruguayan has International experience and still has a lot to give despite his age. Furthermore, he has the technical abilities to adapt to Conte’s schemes tactically as a starter.

Statistically, the average goalscoring record between Il Toro and Il Matador is pretty similar: one goal per 152 minutes for the Argentinian, 157 for the other. And so at 33 years old, Cavani should still be considered a top striker, not a second-rate one.

According to FCIN, Edinson Cavani is open to returning to Italy but at the same time he has not accepted (or denied) Inter’s three-year contract. Furthermore, the Uruguayan is looking to explore other options, one of which could be Newcastle United with their rich ownership. Other sources write that Cavani is waiting for Inter to be qualified for UCL before making the decision.

So 33 year old Cavani wants 2-3 years at 10 million was replaced by Icardi our player who wanted much less. Proven here and much younger

Cavani is done. Replacing Lautaro with Cavani makes 0 sense.

this would basically be almost like the forlan situation, forlan was also proven, but age is age, and injuries are injuries, you can't throw money on old cars every year when u can save up for a tesla

No way he gets 10m from a team in Europe. If he does, I hope it doesnt come from us. Half of his deal will be paying him to be a fuckin ambassador.

I always liked him, but for this wages... Big NO
It's the same like we had with Sanchez, high wages, injuries, no real football quality input (for the whole season)
