Get him
Probably too good to be true, but since we're all missing football, have at it.
Too good would have been ~6-10 years ago, now the time is right. He has Serie A experience and is still a bomber.
this man is like 34, wth is this rumour about inter wanting to sign him to a 3yr deal
i just cant with this team sometimes lol
Seems to live like a pro athlete, so I`m not worried about him just turning 33 this February. Remember we were most recently linked with Dzeko [34] and Giroud [33 & half] but arguably less of a player. BTW, you don`t win a bidding for these kind of players by offering 2 year deals.
It's not gonna happen. Cavani currently earns 12m per season at PSG. I can't see him accepting less than 9-10m and i certainly can't see Inter offering more than 8m.
I would not be so sure. It also depends on the signing on fee & his brother`s agent commission
With 8m€ net, Cavani's cost would be little more than what Mertens would have cost us, because of tax reduction for players coming from abroad. If it's more than that, then it is more but Mertens is off the market, so it's not like there's multiple equal choices to make. Free agents are expensive salary wise, but you have to pay only the signing bonus. With others, there's huge transfer fees involved too which you need to amortize every year.
Very good point, the new taxation law should help us land him.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have decided to offer a three-year contract which should make Cavani one of the most paid players in the squad (
tied with Lukaku and Eriksen). The player had great success in Serie A in the shirt of Palermo and Napoli and so he would be ready to go right away, without needing time to adapt.
The Uruguayan has International experience and still has a lot to give despite his age. Furthermore, he has the technical abilities to adapt to Conte’s schemes tactically as a starter.
Statistically, the average goalscoring record between Il Toro and Il Matador is pretty similar: one goal per 152 minutes for the Argentinian, 157 for the other. And so at 33 years old, Cavani should still be considered a top striker, not a second-rate one.
According to FCIN, Edinson Cavani is open to returning to Italy but at the same time he has not accepted (or denied) Inter’s three-year contract. Furthermore, the Uruguayan is looking to explore other options, one of which could be Newcastle United with their rich ownership. Other sources write that Cavani is waiting for Inter to be qualified for UCL before making the decision.
