Numerous sources, like Sky and others say this guy will join Inter on loan from Manchester City. :notbad:

With France :closeenough::

His history according wiki :epicwin: :

Born in France, he moved to Belgium as a child and began his career there at Standard Liège, going onto FC Porto in 2011 where he won consecutive Primeira Liga titles before joining Manchester City in 2014 for £42 million.

Mangala made his debut with the French national team on 6 June 2013 against Uruguay, and was included in the nation's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016.

According quora :trolldad::

This is Eliaquim Mangala. He was bought for 42 million!

“WOW” you must be thinking, “He must have been the backbone of their defense for years.”

Nope, just a few years later, in the 16–17 season, he was loaned out to Valencia, deemed surplus. Reckless spending.

Last News about him :

Eliaquim Mangala is in pole position to join Inter from Manchester City, but the transfer needs time. Manchester City does not want to let him go prior to their match against Bournemouth on Saturday. Inter remain optimistic, however, because the Frenchman's desire to join them has been made clear. Also, the citizens have given an opening to accept the loan proposal that Inter has made, therefore, the player could join Spalletti next week

He was a disaster in Valencia last season. He is a totally brainfart with no postioning and no tactical awareness. Even Rano now is still 10 miles ahead of him.

I didn't watch him at Valencia but most Valencia fans say he was decent last year and he was better and more consistent than Garay.

A disaster? What?

Take into consideration how chaotic their season was and what a mess the club has been for many years now.

Seriously? The only good thing of Mangala is his physical ability. He run fast and jump high, and he is strong. But he is retarded who always makes unnecessary fouls and always lose the opponent that he is supposee to mark. Watching him playing is just frustrating.

I don't think anyone can be more frustrating than rano.... I would give him a shot,,there are few defenders in the world that can show a physical presence like this guy,,intimidation factor..

ive been hard on mangala but if we are going with 2 in the back and he is 3rd option, I'm ok. Come on board and lets see what you can do.

There is. His name is Mangala. If Rano gives opponent one scoring chance per match, Mangala gives 3 scoring chance to opponent per match.

Mangala just defense with intinct and rely on physical ability too much. He always leaves his position and goes too far up to tackle. But he always fail and leaves a huge hole on the defense line. He never use his brain to read the game. His gambling playing style makes him always end up with an foul. If his physical playing style does not succeed in EPL and La Liga. I dont see he can fit in Serie A which require tactical awareness. I dont think even a good coach can fit his problem.

Whiscored also list his weakness is discipline. I would say his problem his problem is more than that.

If Mangala is that beast in physicality, he is already better than Rano. Damn Rano is weak, slow, can't jump, brainfart... no quality at all in any aspect.

Plus we have a coach who can fix even...Nagatomo problem. I am really curious to see what can he do with Mangala. He costs nothing dude, 1.5m salary and free. He seems complementing what we are missing really well, i.e. physicality. Any of Skiriniar and Miranda could cover his ass partly with their great game-reading capability.

Have you ever seen him play? Even A full game in Valencia? I admit he is a beast in physicality, but he is a also a headless chicken. He makes amatuer mistake all game long and you still think he is better than Rano. Rano is like playing 80 minutes good game and then fxck up huge in 5-10 mintues. Mangala is playing 20 minutes good game and fxck up huge in every possible way. Rano is a solid defender when we compared Mangala to him.

His problem cannot be fixed by any coach unless there is a medicine which can cure brainfart. Just think of how many good coach he has been worked under and think of Guarin can be a good player one day.

He just choose the wrong sport, he would excel in american football but not football while intelligence and discipline is a necessity in defender.

Here's to hoping he can at least come back to the form he displayed at Porto. He was never worth that much money but at least then he was a strong defender and a fairly consistent performer.

West Brom fight Inter for Mangala
By Football Italia staff

Inter could see their bid for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala collapse, as he is reportedly close to West Bromwich Albion.

The Nerazzurri had approached City asking to take the centre-back on loan for this season with an option to buy.

He had seemed enthusiastic about the idea, but the Premier League club preferred to sell him outright.

However, the Mail on Sunday and Sun Sport both suggest Mangala is heading to West Brom instead.

The 26-year-old would be part of a transfer taking Jonny Evans to Manchester City.

Inter’s next target is Shkodran Mustafi, but again Arsenal want it to be a permanent sale and the Italians are only prepared to take him on loan.
