dont get me wrong, i think a lot of people undervalue the mental aspect and grit, it's just this game it wasn't the biggest problem. the problem was medel and guarin can't pass for shit, and they were pressed and outcrowded.

ehh u've got a point. I was frustrated with Andreolli s clearences hoping he hits mancini again.

I said some posts ago, i hated that players were content with a draw, ie Handa not rushing to go forward, palacio looking lazy we lacked passion.

We didnt lose for 5 games and had Lazio, Juve and Genoa as an opponent so we are on a good run.

In these last 5 games we made 9 points (1,8 points per game) which isnt bad for the opponents we had.

Sorry, but what does this have to do with us being TOTALLY outplayed by a team like Empoli? I know you are trying to "be positive", but how we played against Juve, Lazio etc has NOTHING to do with the fact that Empoli DOMINATED us completley and we were lucky to get a draw.. Last night it looks like Barca/Real vs Inter. We were outplayed in every way.

People are simply pointing out the lack from Mancini's side on chosing the right formation and the right players.

Mancini had to choose to bench Hernanes or Kovacic because of the Coppa Italia. Same thing for the Icardi sub. I dont know if it was the problem but Podolski - Palacio - Hernanes is just an lame and old forward. Something like Kovacic and Shaqiri would change something. And if we play counter attack like yesterday, we need fast players. So yeah.. i think Mancini will try to win the Coppa Italia and has even take out Kovacic for this.

If kova was rested because of the copa, I hope we lose and focus on Serie A and El. We don't have the depth to take seriously three competitions right now. The most important is that third spot.

It has something to do with it. We played quite well the last 3 games, you cant expect that we play well every game. There will always be bad games too, but whats more important is, to have as little bad games as possible.

Yeah but after the second half vs Juve all were confident because we put in a great performance and now after Empoli everyone think we will play that shitty in the next games too.

I have such a feeling Mancio was unsatisfied with the phisical level of the squad and did another pre-season type fitness trainings....

ALL the players seemed tired, slow, etc. just like in the summer friendlies.... That's why we couldn't tackle, we were late all the time, couldn't get the ball from Empoli players, who could out-pass us like they would be Barca... and there weren't any dinamic movement on the pitch, especially in the attacking third.

We had the worst ball-possesion of the season. Against Empoli. Not juBe or Roma. Empoli. and there is a reason behind.

and the news about the new fitness coach arriving....

maybe some days/weeks and squad will be much more fresh and dinamic again.
