My support goes for Rooney, it's not his fault if Ronaldo is a overrated bitch and a piece of shit, how i hate him, he helps 0% for the team.
Rooney has said that if he see Ronaldo back in ManU he will kick his ass, i hope it's true, Ronaldo don't deserve to go back to England, he should go the team of LOSERS, REAL MADRID.

This is one of my most favourite posts. Well said! Ronaldo only does crap stepovers and cant cross well. There is no way he will play again for united. All their fans are phoning the football phone ins and saying they think he is a discrace to their number 7 shirt eg Cantona, Robson, Best, Beckham etc.....

I'd pay very good money to watch Rooney v Ronaldo in a boxing ring

How anybody can say that Sven doesn't deserve blame in all of this? :D
Well nothing new there Katie, you're not exactly a big fan of my ideas...

I said I hoped Sven didn't get ALL the blame, not that he is not to be blamed at all.

To be honest I never thought that Defoe or Bent would have made any difference, Walcott was a gamble but I think you should take one gamble with the WC squad (that's why I would have called up Lucarelli or Tavano for Italy for example).

As far as the 4-5-1, I think that it could have worked if Lampard and Gerrard didn't just kept on dropping back leaving Rooney isolated, and didn't keep on missing chance after chance (especially Lampard) and also the penalties.

No doubt Sven failed to modify the team's approach throughout the tourmament, and since Crouch was producing very little, he should have used Walcott, proving he had the balls to do it. He failed there.

I also thought he was unprofessional when he left McLaren doing all the talking to the players during games, that was crap.

Carrick? Have you not seen the performances Hargreaves has given this WC?

Good point I suppose. Hargreaves was one of the few positives. Too bad he decided to play with England instead of Canada. :( I hope Jonathan de Guzman doesn't follow the same path Hargreaves did.

Why on earth is Cristiano Ronaldo to blame? I think there is some hypocracy here! It's okay for Grosso to do what he can to obtain a PK, but CR9 can't talk to the ref???

And Rooney's red-card was 100000% clear, and CR9 had every right to talk with the ref and ensure Rooney gets a red-card. Or are we here saying prefer your club to getting your NT to the semi's for the first time in 40 years??? Really werid.

I am not a fan of CR9, but he was brave to stand up for his teammate who was kicked viciously by a moron of a player. He didn't say 'Oh, that is Rooney, what am I going to do?' He did the right thing.

Hmm, I think you are talking about his brother, or was it Jonathan? I know the elder (play(ed) with La Coruna) plays for the Canadian NT. However, the younger one, who plays in Holland, has a chance to obtain Dutch citizenship and represent them. I hope he chooses Canada, he seems talented.

Hamed it's not just about Giraffaldo talking to the ref. I heard that he was winding up Rooney in the tunnel, I SAW HIM going over to Rooney and speak in his ear before kick off, with a right nasty look on his face. The bastard knew exactly what he was doing.

Hope that when Wayne gets in a room alone with him, he'll remember not to shove anything up his ass, he would actually enjoy that.

you gotta love Goal.com, they are becoming my favourite site.

Did you think England could win the World Cup? Was it because the Premiership is 'the best league in the world'?
Sky Sports have a lot to answer for. While they provide coverage that is visually excellent and technically superb, they are responsible consciously or perhaps unconsciously for shaping the views of the young football fan and the general football viewing public. Hear and see something said enough times, and the chances are you will start to beleive it!
Since the conception of the Andy Gray and Richard Keyes combination the viewer has been told the Premier League is the best in the World. Initially this was a marketing plan but now they even believe it themselves. Now, and all through the tournament they - and not just Keyes and Gray - but almost every English media pundit out there, has been looking for someone to blame. Instead of realising that their own views are in fact wrong, they turn and turned on the easy targets: the foreigner Sven, and the man who plays his football abroad, Beckham.
The majority of the media would have us believe that Steven 'Hollywood' Gerrard is the best midfield player in the world. There is no doubt the man can play, but surely a player who misplaces so many passes can't be considered truly great? Without the footballing brain to know when to keep it simple, Gerrard can never be ranked among the world’s best. Time and time again he tries the game-breaking pass, which throughout the World Cup resulted in a mere 50/50 ball. In the Premier League Gerrard looks superb; this is because he has a magnificent shooting ability and a great engine. Put the Liverpool captain in Spain or Italy and his technique would fall short.
Frank Lampard, the other player the media would have us believe is world class, is another midfielder who lacks technique on the world stage. With Claude Makelele sitting behind him he can rove around the midfield for Chelsea and this is the reason he gets so many goals. In a nuts and bolts league he will shine because his technique is not called upon aside from when he shoots. Because these two players score so many goals they are lauded as the best, but they are not complete and it has been shown in this World Cup. When teams like Ecuador can hold the ball better than an English midfield what is the overriding message?
Frank Lampard thinks he deserves more respect then he's been given after he missed his penalty. He obviously thinks very highly of himself considering he showed himself up in every single game that he played. Perhaps it’s time viewers analysed him and Gerrard? They never seem to take any criticism. Steven Gerrard can get away with knee high challenges and giving the ball away 20 times in a single game, but no one dares breathe a word of criticism. David Beckham has been abused by press all over England, Ireland and everywhere else despite being the only player other than Owen Hargreaves who really contributed to the results of the games. While he was far from outstanding in the tournament, without his dead balls England would not have gotten out of their group.
The fact is that the English Premier League has pace and aggression but it falls short technically. In the aftermath Keyes asks Gray would there be any players you would swap from the English team with the teams still in the tournament? Gray reluctantly responds 'Maybe Buffon, Henry maybe?' The Premiership is that good Andy? A fit Rooney and Ashley Cole are the only two players that could stay in the England side.
Of course Terry is a far better player then Cannavaro, as is Ferdinand over Thuram. Terry has won two Premier League titles, and don’t forget it’s the best league in the world. Also it's not necessary to mention how Makelele was sitting in front of him all that time. Neville is far superior in every way to Zambrotta and Sagnol.
Vieira according to the media is past it and had a poor season for those who don't watch Italian football, that is why Fabio Capello signed him and Juve won the inferior Serie A title. Makelele doesn't get a mention, and well Ballack is German. Why even discuss Zidane, Pirlo, Totti, Deco, Figo......none of them could get into the England team.
The point is not that the English players are poor footballers, far from it. It's just they are not as good as we are led to believe. Mentally England buckle under the pressure, there is no need to develop that theory. Technically, they cannot match the other nations. Players can run around the park until the cows come home but if they can't pass and keep the ball, winning and playing attractive football is never going to happen. It doesn’t matter who the manager is, England have not been attractive for the last few generations and they won't be for the next.

Order Ricardo now
English Woman, this is just for you!
Tired of spending sad, lonely, loveless midsummers every other year?
Does your lover fail to acknowledge your very existence in even-numbered years?
Does your husband/boyfriend prefer the company of other males? Is he totally glued to the telly, or else drunk out of his skull? Has the passion and romance in your life died out? Are "Eeeengeeeerlund" and "´Ere we go, ´ere we go, ´ere we go" the only "romantic words" you hear on those lonely summer nights? Does the movie "The other half" make you cry?

Then Ricardo is for you.

Ricardo is a portuguese shock treatment that re-ignites the passion in your marriage or relationship. Well known and with effectiveness proven both in England and other countries, Ricardo assures 2-years worth of attention and love from your significant other.

Ricardo is not totally painless to your lover, but you will find it will be worth your while. Ricardo consists of having your husband or boyfriend suffer through 2 hours of thrill-packed action, then finalizing with a somewhat rough, heart-breaking, yet healing hand treatment.

After one night of heavy drinking, you will find that your man will be very sad, weak, and will rely on you to confort him. Two years of bliss and passion ensue.

Ricardo - helping English couples since 2004

The way the English fans treated Hargreaves is one more reason for me to hate them even more.He was constanly booed in the friendly matches prior to the WC.YOU STUPID HOOLIGANS,IF A PLAYER DOESN'T PLAY IN YOUR PREMIERSHIP DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you watched Owen playing for Bayern in the DM just once, you wouldd realise that he is the thing England lacks. If you need a player to neutralise a big star,Hargreaves is your man(Don't forget his debut was in the 1/2 finals in the Champions league and his task was to mark Figo;) and Bayern became Champions that year).

How can someone even think playing Becks,Stevie G,J.Cole and Lampard in one team. They all like to get up front leaving no one to watch over the defense. After the game against Paraguay,SVE realised that and Hargreaves didn't betray his trust,he was man of the match against Portugal and the only Englshman to score;)

Oi, hold the phone a minute mate!!!

Not all English people are hooligans! We have had trouble in the past but now we are much better behaved now. We took a huge number of fans and of course some nutters will travel.

Can you rely blame us for booing Hargreaves. If England were in trouble during a match (not very ofter) SGE would bring Hargreaveaves on instead of a striker which annoys a lot of people. He kept on giving the ball away too much and generally was crap. Its got nothing to do with not playin in the premiership.

However, he was very good in the WC and this is why our fans were singing 'theres only one owen hargreaves etc'. Alot of people now think he was our player of the tournament, and he will be a starter for england alot more now.

Cozzi I am talking about the guys who started the fights each time Germany won.I am aware that you english people have great passion for the game and you allways follow your country.Put it realy pissed me off when you guys attacked Owen before the WC just because he plays in Germany. The "theres only one Owen Hargreaves" chants did alot two raise his self-confidence.

In this WC? Only a few hundred were arrested in Germany. This is a very samll amount compared to France 98 or Euro 2000. Poland and Germany had more people arrested than England.

Alright I had a major problem with Hargreaves before the WC becuase he plays in Germany and we dont see him every week like you do. We had people like him, Jenas, Downing in the squad and absolutly no strikers which made me angry, because a chimp could see we didn't have good enough strikers.

Now though, he is very popular and I think he should start in the Euro 2008 qualifers. Now Lampard is the main villan (I like him though)
