So, your own opinion, Smalling or Evans, who will be third choise CB after Rio and VIdic?

Smalling, easily. With the signing of Jones I'm bit sad for Evans as he has the quality.. Maybe he will get few games as fullback.

Rio and Vidic will be first choice. Rio is crocked and wont be fit for entire season.

Smalling and Jones as Back up..

Evans will be utility player like O'Shea (Maybe :( )

You like Evans eh? :)

So, you think he will be getting some minutes as full back, what about Silva and Rafael?

Btw, Fabio and Rafael will be rotating as RB or you guys plan on using someone else as starter there?

Man, you got one hell of a young core for the defense...

Rafael, Fabio, Smalling, De Gea... Always admired how Fergie has been looking at the defense, htat has been his priority... Always having great starters, and younglings ready to fight for the first team, rotation, the present AND the future...

Yeah, I like Evans. He was solid for 2 years then dont know what happened. He was very good with Vidic.

If I'm not wrong Rafael and Fabio will share RB duties, Fabio is equally good as LB too.. So Rafael, Fabio, Evra, Evans(Maybe) will be our full backs. Smalling can play too, never started the game as FB but coming late in the game he played there..

Our young defense is

De Gea (20)

Rafael (21) Smalling (21) Jones (19) Fabio (21)

Also Evans is just 23.. :)

Anderson 23
Nani 24
Rooney 25

Your defense is set ip for another 5 years at least :D I mean with back ups and everything. Rio and Vidic can have at least 2-3 more GREAT years, and will be great back-up after...

Great deals from Fergie..

The longer Rio carries on, the better. I think he is overrated.

Not sure about Rio. May one or two. He is struggling a lot to keep up his fitness. I can vidic playing for many years. With Rio our defense is much better though..

When fit Rio will start for sure. I can for sure tell Smalling is as good as I said, I haven't watched Jones much but he did have a superb game against Us last season.. He is very highly rated and dubbed as Future England captain. He played well in U 21s if that means something.(Well for me its not :p ).

By the way it looks he will be fourth choice and may get few games as CM/DM.

Lol, I have to do small transfers. Have to remove De Jong as he rarely scores or assists. Picked my team in 5-10 mins.. Have to analyze it. :D

---------- Post added at 18:18 ---------- Previous post was at 17:46 ----------

Twitter:

Aguero has great pedigree for City, having spent years looking across Madrid at one of the biggest clubs in the world. He'll settle in well there.

And also one more story of a young lad.. Copied from other forum.

From Sky Sports:

A good agent friend of mine recently told me a great story involving a young kid down on his luck that approached a manager for a chance, but not just any manager.

The 18-year-old apprentice had been surprisingly released by a League Two club this summer. I say surprisingly with genuine reason as a number of coaches who I'd previously spoken to had thought he would do well in the game. To be fair to the club, they helped him get together some footage of his games on to a DVD to send to clubs.

Armed with a CV and the aforementioned DVD this young lad used his initiative and found out where Sir Alex Ferguson lived. Instead of just buying a stamp and posting the package, he had the nerve to knock on the Cheshire mansion of the United gaffer and ask for a trial.

After a quick talk with the lad, Fergie promised that someone at the club would have a look at the DVD and be in touch. The lad probably thought 'I bet he and the club gets thousands of CVs and DVDs so he'll bin it with the rest'.

Well not at all.

United's reserve manager did watch the DVD and saw something in the lad, did a bit of research and invited him down to Carrington to train for a week. That week turned into a second week and on Tuesday night the kid had a run out with the reserves, coming off the bench.

Now I'm not saying he'll get a contract, it's quite possible that he won't be anywhere near good enough for Man United but I'm sure the League Two side who released him might just be regretting their decision"

the Lads name is Max Lonsdale.

I was watching Sky Sports News tonight for some bizarre fucking reason and they brought up how much the transfer fees were for the current crop of forwards City have and it blew my mind: €150 million! And that's just for the forwards! :palm:

If I'm not wrong its more than that. Closer to 170 Million pounds maybe..

Bellamy 14M
Jo 18 M (Before Sheik era)
Ade 25M
Tevez 25M or 47 M (which ever you believe)
Dzeko 28 M
Balotelli 28M
Aguero - 38 M
Santa Cruz - 17 M

Thats around 160 Million pounds..

Balotelli maybe 24 Million..
