Man City 2 goals up and up losing 3-2 to Wolves, they are not the same team of the previous 2 seasons. Liverpool should win the title by 20+ points now, no way anyone catches them.

Well, there was a red card for Ederson at the start of the game, Wolves had a great second half

Liverpool should go for Arsenal's unbeaten run as an added bonus to the title

One horse race in the PL. What's the argument for the "best league in the world" that we'll be parading this year? We've just lost the Competitive Token.
Usually it's an old recycled argument from PL loving haters of anything-else football that they now have adopted as a legit argument (eg Italian league is shit and defensive, there are no goals; reality Serie A goals > PL goals for several recent seasons. Counter argument; PL is the best just because).

Did anybody here said EPL is the ultimate best league this season or is this just an obligatory monthly post about EPL?

I'm happy you have FIF so you can rant, otherwise you'd probably beat your kids with a belt or whatever

Look, even if the race for the title looks finished, it can still be a competitive league, since we don't see clear favourites to play in CL next season.

Leicester and City just above the rest who are all close to the fourth place - Chelsea, Wolves, Tottenham, Sheffield and Man United.

Also I believe football should be football, who cares about best league moniker, it's about what you enjoy the best. I don't believe you really care about what other people say about Leagues, deep down in you. Just leave it be, stupid people will always be stupid.

The funny thing is many EPL fanboys claim on the net Serie A is a farmers league and yet the only team that has beaten Liverpool this season plays in Serie A.

As a "total package" I consider the EPL the best league in the world. That has to do with the English language, the presentation and players. And about the competition ... Two years ago everyone thought that City will dominate for the next years ... They were able to defend their title once - as the only EPL in the last ten seasons.

Another question is, where the best football is played. I can't tell that because I don't watch EPL (because it's not available on DAZN anymore) and La Liga ... But in random CL duels between English and Italien teams I'd bet 3 from 4 times on the EPL team.

I don't actually care, it's just funny to see how irrational these people can be. But I'd like those who claim BS like that just admit that they have no interest in football other than watching PL and an occasional CL game after the semi finals (and only PL related Champions League games prior to that).

It's silly every time you discuss about football with such a person the rhetoric is different as to why their master race League is the greatest ever. And it's ironic to see that their arguments eventually become what they've accepted as a very weak argument to promote one league in the past now become their sole argument in a vicious cycle. Now they're stuck with "we have the most money". #WeAreSoRich!

Competitiveness is not measured by the distance of the top team vs the rest. Everyone should know that. And competitiveness for the sake of competitiveness does not suggest a higher quality. You can be equally shit and someone will still call it competitive. But in reality, competitiveness should be about how strong the top team is. How difficult it becomes to overcome that team. And in that regard, the PL is competitive with Liverpool being so dominant, it's just that the rest of the teams sort of suck. In the past, Man City was very competitive and they only had Liverpool follow them until the end which gave a great battle. When Leicester won the league, the competitiveness levels hit the floor, but there were 3-4 teams (including Tottenham and Arsenal) at some point going for the league. They were all equally shit though.

It's something to poke fun at because there's an obvious bias in PL fanboys. For some reason their only counter-argument is that you must also have one single favorite league. In my case and I suppose in everyone else's who faces this kind of people very often, it's allegedly Serie A. I was being told off the other day for Milan receiving a battering from Atalanta. I just kept my grin face and didn't say anything because it's just too easy these days.

P.S: My favorite league for almost two decades now has been Bundesliga but even that doesn't mean I'll try to make it out as perfect. But imo the PL is one of the shiitiest places to watch football in. It all seems too fake and being in stadia as well, it doesn't really give you that positive vibe that you get from elsewhere. You don't get that "I want more of this" energy that you get in Germany, Italy, France, Holland, or at most Spanish teams. I've been to at least 20 different stadiums in England, from League 1 to the Premier League and from the League Cup to the Champions League semi-finals. Cannot say that I miss it or would want to experience more.

It's all a marketing gimmick and I'm not one to fall for these easily. Only ever bought one Apple product (4 years too late, a mini iPod actually because the store I was in run out of anything else) :D

Meh, it's pretty obvious why people think what they think - EPL has the superior product. It's like you're complaining about the attention a ripped good-looking jock is getting, pointing out that he's actually a piece of shit human being. Yeah, possibly, but that doesn't mean he isn't attractive to many.

Fuck me, even the fucking grass looks literally greener when you watch the EPL.

Edit: Now reading the post you just posted I too was going to use Apple as a metaphor. You get it, then why don't you "get it"?

brehme is the jealous (but morally superior) virginus maximus.

Watching Brighton v Bournemouth, even though 48 hours ago I swore to watch less EPL. 14 minutes in and I want to beat the shit out of this goon called "Maupay".

If you’re interested you can watch on footybite. They have some streams with no ads, little buffering and a chrystal clear picture, maybe even better than DAZN were the picture tends to look a little muddy (on my TV)

Dope to see Martial not being injured. When he plays consistenly (and as CF), he will score.

How much time and space does Abraham want to shoot? :palm: clown looked like he was taking those final long steps that long-jumpers do in their run-up before they leap. It's almost like he forgot he was playing against defenders. Moron. Chelsea are shit. I was just talking to Josef Fitzl about how much Mourinho has fallen, getting completely outplayed by these mediocre-as-fucking-shit Chelsea and Man Utd sides. Renewing Alderweireld was a mistake too. Guy is so slow with the ball he makes de Vrij look like the greatest ball-playing defender of all time.

What's up with Salah these days. Seems more and more bullshit with every match I watch - and not bullshit in a good way like he's a video game cheat character. I mean he's increasingly, incredibly individualistic and seems on a completely different wavelength to his teammates. Seems like he'll ignore a billion easy chances to set up a teammate in space or making a logical run. Instead, he'll put his foot on the ball and wait, let the opponents regather, then either pass backwards or try some complex 1-2 in an incredibly tight space. Maybe things just aren't coming off for him as much as they used to, and he's still obviously an elite player, but fuck me is he frustrating and selfish as fuck this season.

Do you remember that Salah played at Roma before moving to Liverpool?

You're pretty much describing his final season at Roma here.
