They treat Tottenham so shitty just to help Arsenal play the game on a more favourable day; the rules are you can postpone a game for COVID, not injuries and AFCON. Total disrespect for the competition.

Half the PL has been using the rule for other reasons.

Didn't Tottenham try to pull this shit off versus Rennes as well?

I don't remember, but UEFA didn't care for it (if they indeed tried)-they applied the rules and handed 3-0 win to Rennes.

Here they just twist the rules to help whoever they think should be helped.

Irony is how you shit on a league where I'd say easily 90% of these forums are scared shit of Liverpool who are 3rd in said league.
Because they sit below European champion and runnerup while Liverpool themselves won the competition in 2019. Meanwhile, the current Serie A champion just celebrate qualifying the groupstage after a decade.

I mean you don’t watch the premier league so it’s understandable why you may think that but Chelsea win our league on their squad alone. They literally have 2 teams. Liverpool‘s starting XI obliterates ours on paper but I guess we could find out about that one soonish. I’m not saying we won‘t be able to do well against their mid table to lower teams but like you cannot be that daft to think that there isn’t a major difference? Aston Villa who are sitting in 13th just got Digne and Coutinho . That would be the equivalent of Verona getting those players 🤣🤣
Digne and Coutinho are midtable players these days tbf. I think a team like Sassuolo smokes Aston Villa. The mid to lower pl teams are just like any other league's lower to mid teams, just look at their results in the shitty euro cups.

Smokes? Nah.

Sassuolo I do rate very highly, they’re sitting 10th though so if we wanna compare they’ll go up against Leicester….the same Leicester who gave 3rd placed Napoli all they could handle.

Also Digne was linked with us and calling Coutinho mid table player….come on? Coutinho would start for any Italian team with the exception of us and maybe Juve cos of the system they play

He'd actually also start for every PL club regardless of any system they play
He ended up at Villa because of a bad contract, weird demands by Barcelona and his friendship/respect with Gerrard.

I'd gladly take him at Inter next summer, just like I wouldn't mind getting him here.

But Digne is bang average. Was never impressive at Roma either. And he wasn't going to join Inter, his agent was simply shopping him around. Chelsea refused to make a deal and he ended up at Villa because the alternative was Newcastle.

It’s a tough argument to have with someone who doesn’t watch other leagues, this Coutinho is not the same one that left Liverpool. No way on earth he starts for City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, United or even Spurs.

Coutinho ended up at Villa because those clubs didn’t want him and Villa are richer than any Italian team out there.

I find it hilarious that there's this kurt guy who lives in his bedroom with a joystick is making up crap like "I admitted I don't watch football" when I'm one of a handful of guys that participate in PL, Liga, Ligue1, Bundesliga, CL, EL threads, "other leagues" and also Libertadores shit if that's on. But sure, feel free to make up shit, but I'm also free to shit on your stupidity for trying to be a wisecrack with every evidence against you.

As for Coutinho himself, he had rejected Manchester United in the summer.

Other than Inter and 2 other Serie A clubs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle approached Barcelona for him. All offers with the exception of Newcastle, and obviously Aston Villa, were rejected. I'm pretty sure they all had something in mind for him when they had this intention to sign him.
City and Chelsea don't need to sign him, but if he was on his roster he'd be seeing significant minutes from guys like Ziyech, Havertz, Hudson-Odoi, Grealish, Sterling, Pulisic, Mahrez or Gabriel Jesus who played a lot on the wing this year... If City had him, this also means that Aston Villa doesn't really have this much money, since they wasted all that on Jack fucking Grealish!

But suit yourself into thinking that they never wanted him in the first place.

I love it when I'm being attacked by a bedroom troll when my job pretty much was handling finances and investments of sports related people... most of whom were based in the UK even  You think I wouldn't be watching if any of my business assets were playing a game and being in immediate risk of losing their future income, which my own income depended on?

Bloody hell struck a nerve there didn’t we? All I’m saying is I feel like you need to improve your ball knowledge when it comes to other leagues otherwise I can’t really have conversations with you. Participating in other league threads on a forum isn’t enough, need to put your phone down and watch the actual matches my good friend!
