Newcastle doing so well so fast is bad news for everyone. And they don't even have a top manager yet. They will probably be fighting for the title a lot sooner than expected.
What was everyone's expectations?
I think I said that I expected them to be competing within 2.5 seasons so I think we're on par with that. Only thing I wasn't expecting is Manchester City not having the results Arsenal are having.
Speaking of, if they manage to win half their games till the Everton away game, I'll consider them legit. But facing Brighton away, Newcastle at home, Tottenham away, Manchester United at home and an Everton that's desperate for points away doesn't scream "easy" schedule. Their season depends on Odegaard maintaining his high level.
I think CL spots are going to City, Liverpool and Tottenham. Arsenal has much higher chances than Newcastle, but they'll fight the last one with the possible resurgence of Manchester United. Chelsea will enter the mix if they have a good transfer market and obviously if they beat City next week.
