Overrated, cunt of a league.
They deserve Man City and their meaningless domestic trophies for the next 100 years. Their media seems to like it as well.
Have the nerve to act like some gatekeepers of football on top, disgusting.
Yeah, I really do wish Manchester City win the next 10, just to hear all the noise from the rest.
It's an annoying thing really. Claims of supremacy and that they're the best of the best, yet every season half of their top players are new imports.
If you get an objective top 30 list, they'd all have the following included:
Haaland
Casemiro
Botman
Bruno Guimaraes (okay, January 2022 signing)
Palhinha
Estupinan
Akanji
Could include Isak if he didn't miss so many games.
Everyone else would be the core of Manchester City, some Arsenal players and the standard top players they have each year.
Akanji is by no means world class, he just ticked.
Botman is good but not great.
Palhinha is a great role player but that's it, role player.
Estupinan is an interesting talent but we don't have much else yet on him.
Casemiro we know, but he's old and they didn't expect much of him.
Haaland they expected to flop yet he scored 50 goals for fun and didn't even try hard enough.
Haaland is definitely a top 5 player in the league and Guimaraes and Casemiro are arguably top 10.
Previous years it's the same case. Compile the top 30 lists of the season and you'll find that almost half of them are new additions to the league. And surely, statistically that makes sense due to the heavy volume of transfers, but you'd assume that the barrier to enter the list of elite level there would be insanely high. Yet everyone they didn't expected did it. Be it briefly or consistently. From Salah to Luis Diaz, from Haaland to Bruno Fernandes and from Casemiro to Odegaard, it doesn't take much to become one of the best in that league.
You'd assume it'd be harder...
