Mmm. I'm not overwhelmed here but I am struggling to see how we penetrate this City side.

I'm scared they're gonna be flying high on the back of this wing. Remember how our first minutes looked like against Atlanta after the Coppa final.

City looked a little off it today. I think they’ve been resting a lot of players leading up to the two final matches so they had a little rust despite the early banger.

They didn’t step on United’s neck the way you would have expected. There was also a nervy moment or two towards the end. If we can keep it close we will certainly have a few chances.

United played them well today, when you consider the difference in rosters. One team's got the best striker in the world, the other a winger playing striker and Weghorst off the bench. They don't have the horses to upset City but defensively they did a great job slowing their attack.

I think we can take City. We have far better forwards than United. It's not even comparable. City has a great team but they don't look hungry to me, if Inter plays up to capabilities we should be able to get the upset of the year.

Nah! After this win, City will be trying hard to win that final! If anything they’ll maybe be a bit more cautious in approach but if we do that jittery bullshit we usually do and they pick up on it, they’ll turn the screws in with a hammer drill.

Eric Ten Hag: "We are the only team in the world, I think, who are capable of fighting back against City"

Inter is written off by almost everyone. I really hope, we can somehow crush their EPL bubble.

It feels surreal that the guy who was coaching my local team years ago is gonna coach in EPL. Good luck Angelos. You will need it at Spurs

Levy took a jab at Conte when he explained as why he hired Postecoglu:

“We made a conscious decision that we wanted a coach who would understand what we really wanted as a club, which was to play attacking football, to enable everyone to enjoy coming to a match and be entertained, and also someone who understood the importance of the academy.”

Overrated, cunt of a league.

They deserve Man City and their meaningless domestic trophies for the next 100 years. Their media seems to like it as well.

Have the nerve to act like some gatekeepers of football on top, disgusting.

Yeah, I really do wish Manchester City win the next 10, just to hear all the noise from the rest.

It's an annoying thing really. Claims of supremacy and that they're the best of the best, yet every season half of their top players are new imports.

If you get an objective top 30 list, they'd all have the following included:
Haaland
Casemiro
Botman
Bruno Guimaraes (okay, January 2022 signing)
Palhinha
Estupinan
Akanji

Could include Isak if he didn't miss so many games.

Everyone else would be the core of Manchester City, some Arsenal players and the standard top players they have each year.

Akanji is by no means world class, he just ticked.
Botman is good but not great.
Palhinha is a great role player but that's it, role player.
Estupinan is an interesting talent but we don't have much else yet on him.
Casemiro we know, but he's old and they didn't expect much of him.
Haaland they expected to flop yet he scored 50 goals for fun and didn't even try hard enough.

Haaland is definitely a top 5 player in the league and Guimaraes and Casemiro are arguably top 10.

Previous years it's the same case. Compile the top 30 lists of the season and you'll find that almost half of them are new additions to the league. And surely, statistically that makes sense due to the heavy volume of transfers, but you'd assume that the barrier to enter the list of elite level there would be insanely high. Yet everyone they didn't expected did it. Be it briefly or consistently. From Salah to Luis Diaz, from Haaland to Bruno Fernandes and from Casemiro to Odegaard, it doesn't take much to become one of the best in that league.

You'd assume it'd be harder...
