Thohir: 'Inter will buy more'

President Erick Thohir insists Inter “will reinforce the squad with at least another one or two players” and welcomes Frank de Boer.

The Nerazzurri’s pre-season was somewhat chaotic, as Coach Roberto Mancini terminated his contract by mutual consent just 13 days before the Serie A opener.

“I think Mancini did a great job last year,” Thohir told the Corriere dello Sport.

You say that as if its an easy thing to do. Lets remember, he reduced risk, costs, and made us a more competitive teams. Compare the team he had when he took over to when he "left". IMO , in a business sense and not as a fan, Thohirs work here was amazing.

Its still good business. And yes, kondogbia who at the time was a very highly rated youngster. He was what, 35 or 40 million? If he had of worked out it wouldn't have changed the fact Thohir splashed.

You also cant compare him to Suning. They are a power house who have a lot of financial resources.

As i said, from a purely business perspective Thohir done a great job. I wasnt too happy with him like you, so as a fan i wasnt very happy with what he done, but from a business perspective he done great work at the club. Unfortunately shovelling tonnes of his own money to get us back to the top wasnt his plan, like any shrewd business man with not the greatest resources would do.

Also on his deals, he arrived in a cluster fuck of debt from MM and couldnt spend much which led to these take now pay later (though im sure he was happy he could use that excuse too)
