I am quite impressed with the talent coming out of France these days... if you look at some of the young players (25 and under) that they have:

Defence: Mangala, Zouma, Varane, Dinge, Kurzawa, Sakho
Midfield: Pogba, Kondogbia, Schneiderlin, Guilavogui, Cabella, Imbula
Attack: Griezmann, Fekir, Martial, Lacazette, Ntep, Coman

That is some serious amount of talent. They may be favourites for 2016, and if Kondogbia can nail down a starting role by then, his value may actually increase, crazy as that sounds!

What's the scheduling typically like for these things? Has it changed in recent years or has it always generally been the same? Has there ever been an effort to make it so the league seasons are interrupted as little as possible?

The Albanian side is going to impose some heavy security at the stadium, people need to have their name on their tickets and an ID, each person will be checked before entering the stadium and so on. Chances are nothing will happen apart from booing and shit like that.

They should just play it behind close doors IMO. I see both sides of the argument though, you're kind of letting them win if you make it closed doors, but it's better than violence.
