I still don't understand these playoffs and who is/isn't seeded and how rankings come into it along with points won.

Usually they take UEFA ranking and just put the 4 teams with best ranking as seeded. Points won in groups don't matter. They matter only to decide which of nine third placed teams is the best and goes through without playoffs.

All goals they conceaded were from Slovenia:trolldad:...we have a decent attack but a shity defensive MF and a pretty average df.Handa boy has a hard time...even more so than at Inter.
Oh well at least we made the playoffs...Hoping for a miracle Euro presence althoug we might not deserve it tbh as we play horrible football at times...

Tbf Slovenia has a pretty decent team overall and you stand a fighting chance in the play-offs.. When I look at the squad, I couldn't recognize any defenders, but the rest of the squad looks like a good contender.

Not that impressive when the second best team in your group is Switzerland. These qualifiers are so bogged down, it's embarrassing for a country if they don't qualify.

yeah, when you play estonia, lithuania, san fucking marino, and slovenia, it's like you're the shit in a group of shits. the swiss ain't bad, but we'll see how england will do later on. their group was outrageous compared with some other ones.

Slovenia was pretty shit for most of the games. Katanec is fucking up with the Kurtić-Krhin (Krhin is playing good tho) and everytime we were winning/scoring against bigger sides (Swiss, England), we failed defensivly. Need new defence, fuck Jokić, fuck Cesar, fuck Struna,...

Well it's still impressive imo to win every game. Even sides like Holland lost to Latvia and many big teams drew to teams they should have easily beat.

No doubt it was one of the easier groups for England but if a side like Italy or any other big European team did that they would be praised. England understandably get a lot of stick because of the media but sometimes people pick at anything.

England are still gonna receive a reality check in the Euro's when they come across stronger teams though . Like Armes said, it will be good to see how they do but imo they will struggle. Hodgeson ain't the man for the job, as we saw in the world cup
